You know all the diesel heads like to say that once you go diesel you never go back. It seems that a LOT of people have gone back over the last few years.
I enjoyed all six of my diesels. But once the novelty wears off, it's just a noisy engine that can't rev. :B
When a man's last diesel of six was a whopping 305 hp at the most then he will have no clue as to what we are talking about. Why rev when the job can be done at a quiet relaxing purr.
I was just kidding but just the same, it's all about perception. 4200 rpm is music to my ears with a gas V8. That 2100 rpm Cummins Humm could get pretty tiring too.
My 2013 ,I don't really here towing down the interstate. You have to be looking at the tach to tell. On the back roads is went I hear it and it is only for a few seconds pulling a steep grade then back to 13-1400 rpms which you don't really hear then. Taking off from a stop is really the only time you hear it in the cab. Remember also, I have 18,000# hooked to the hitch.
