Foot pads for corner jacks?

I'll be chasing elk in CO this September and I plan to offload the TC so I don't have to haul it back and forth on what are essentially 4x4 trails. Basically, I'm using the TC for a base camp. Anyhoo, I'm sure there are lots of great DIY ideas for foot pads besides the standard lynx leveler types. I'd like to build something that is better suited for uneven ground. Any ideas out there?

X2 just keep scoring and bending the rubber backwards a little and it makes a clean cut.

I have cut horse stall mat for the bottom of my jobsite tool boxes using a razor box cutter knife. It's slow but works fine.

I used a battery powered circular saw with a basic 5" wood blade on the first set. The second set I found the mat at an estate sale and the only thing I could find there to cut them was a hack saw with a metal blade. Took longer but got the job done.

As far as weight, they support My 20,000 lb. DP.

The second set was bought with the idea of parking on them while in storage. I always forget to put them out so still haven't used them but my brother has used them a few times under the tires of his TH to level when he forgets his blocks.

I used 4" x 12" header boards that are about 12" long in conjunction with 2" x 12" with the same footprint and I have 6 each.

Even with the dually it leans hard to the slide side so I just level the rig with the boards, I don't take mine off cause it's a pain but I have needed most all to get level when boondocking off the grid.

I've used Hosspads with great success, a little heaver then the plastic pads but that is a good thing. Used them on dirt and gravel surfaces with no sinking.

8"x8"x1.5" ABS Plastic. I routed out a .25" deep area on each pad slightly larger than the jack pad. They went with the camper when we sold it in 2001 and bought a 5th wheel trailer. Now that we are back to a TC I just use some Trex deck material cut to 10" lengths.
I like the horse stall mat idea, and have a piece that might be re-purposed.

Horse stall mats cut into 12 x 12 or bigger squares. Roughly 1 inch thick and conform to the ground and the jack pad.

Uneven ground isn't bad, just have to watch your heights and do more or less cranks/pumps on each jack individually, to keep it level. Also, raise the camper higher than normal, so the truck bed doesn't hit it while going under or out, when the truck bed changes position as you go over low or high spots of the ground.

I have only loaded and unloaded on pavement. How much harder is it on uneven ground?

I use 12" by 12" pieces of "Advantech". It's basically really heavy duty waterproof manufactured plywood. It's typically used for subfloors in houses.
I've been using the same pieces for over 7 years and they're still in pretty good shape.

I just put the jacks down on wood blocks so they don't sink into the ground. Any wood block with at least 4"x4" surface will do, but more surface area is better for softer ground. More than 12"x12" surface area is probably overdoing it.
