We are in the market for a Ford Super Duty F350. And, I'm afraid the V10 gasser is going to retire. I have really enjoyed our current truck, but we just bought a GD Solitude which weighs 2500 lbs. more than our Cruiser did. We are looking for a used truck and my question is if there are any years of diesel Fords that I ought to avoid?
If you're looking for a used truck, I would ask, why limit your choices to Ford? Yes the Ford 6.7 engine has proven to be very good. And the Super Duty line has been very good overall. But the GMC Duramax or the Ram Cummins trucks are just as good. Don't limit your choices.
Simply look around at the Full Timers Campgrounds it's GM and RAM not many Fords these days. For fun while driving on the Interstate observe what brand are transporting new RV's and are hauling cars, RAM by far then GM and few Fords.
I’m not a Ford guy...surprise I know....
But look at the rest of the world, place is littered with Super Duty’s! Lol
You’d think they were the best selling truck or something.....
Your post actually makes me think about getting a Super duty so I don’t look like the geezers in the RV Park!
Haha!’
