Looking at forest river surveyor 266RLDS. Notice the island faucet is blocking view of TV. Any one else have this issue or does the Tv mount move out and over. Salesman says need new mount. Can't believe this would be the case..
Thank you for ny no ll comments

I looked at the exact same unit the other day, and the faucet blocking the TV caught my attention. The unit I inspected had the U-shaped dinette and the removable table. I could not sit at the dinette because I could not get my feet past the table leg, which is almost against the dinette cushion. Plus, to seat more than 2 at the dinette, you would have to pull the table out, let your guests sit down, then move the table back in front of them, blocking them in. I passed on the coach, and am still looking for a good couples coach.

Thank you for all the comments. My wife did think about the faucet switch but did not advise me. I will check on that tomorrow.

What kind of faucet is it. Can you change it for a low profile faucet. One that you can pull out and lay in the sink!

I never worry about use with the slides in. It's not made to be used that way. On my current trailer the slide has to be moved out about a foot to access the bathroom. The switch handles that job for 4 seconds.

I found a picture. If a low profile would work that's what I would do if you really love the floor plan!

Just wait till you go to mount the arm for the TV to the place they have marked for it and you miss the "solid backing" when you drill the holes because the "solid backing" is so small!

I could go on with about ten more major things that have gone wrong with our new Lemon Forest River, but it would take up too much space here.

Now that I posted the floor plan from the dealer's site, how about a modified floor plan with the slides IN. This is something they don't show you. With a little bit of copy-paste and Microsoft Paint and a little edit you get this below. It gives a new perspective on the functionality of the camper. The question that I always ask is, How functional is the camper with slides IN? Because on-the-road, you might not be able to pull the slides out, or at home or in storage you might not be able to pull the slides out? Can you access the bathroom (yours... yes). Can you access the stove, refrigerator, (yours, ... no), can you access the sink ... (yours, yes, but not comfortable). Can you access the bed (yes in yours), if you have kids or guests, can they comfortably sleep if the slides need to be IN? Well ... look at your floor plan with a new perspective, and see what you think?

Nah, just looking at the floor plan, no TV mount will clear the view of the Island. He's a salesman talking out of his .... well ... you know!

He will tell you anything to get you to buy! If the television is NOT right and you are NOT comfortable with it at the dealers lot, it will NEVER be right after you buy it either. If the television is important to you ... WALK from this one. You'll find another.
