Nice, and supposedly in stock in Ohio, has just about everything I would get if doing a special order. Even called these clowns and asked about this.................the sticker lol.

"All of our Super Dutys are priced $5000 above sticker and this price is not open to negotiation" ROFLMAO

Clicked on the "get E Price" and that came back at the "sale" price of $72K LOL.

Needless to say we talked trade, just had to do it, 2015 F250 Lariat 6.7 with 42K miles and they shot back a lowball price.........$38K........KBB says a range of $51K to $58K FWIW........

Someday things will get back to some resemblance of normal and these guys can go out back and screw themselves.

Why do I need to know what the California Air Resources board says about Environmental Performance when buying a truck in Ohio?

Welcome to 2021.

It seems like the used prices are crazy, but you can buy new for less.
Dennis Dillion in Idaho has some used Ram CTD for “market price” in the $60k range but several brand new Ram 3500 CC 4x4 diesel Tradesman for $56k.
Who wouldn’t buy the new one for less?

It depends how old and what trim level the used ones are .... a Tradesman is probably not a very desirable trim package.

Hell, thats a deal 72K . Friend bought the 2021 Tremor F-350, paid 83K. My son just ordered a loaded 2022 Lariat 350 ,and was quoted 76K . I'm tempted if I could get a loaded F-350 Lariat for 72k ,considering my 2014 3500 Ram Laramie books for nearly what I payed for it new, selling it outright ,not trading . High teen's difference , if all is reality .

On edit ,ya too good to be true , that truck I believe is a 7.3 gas truck.

Was looking at Jeep Wranglers. Local dealer had a 2 year old used that they actually had priced at $5,000 over the original sticker which they had. Wouldn't even talk about it.

A friend up the street had a 2015 Wrangler 2 door soft top he didn't want any more. Carvana paid him more than the purchase price. They picked it up yesterday. The market is truly nuts right now.

So I probably missed the back drop or beginning of the story... but why did you have to trade? Something wrong with the 15 you had? Just curious, cause I hear a lot of people bitching about prices but most don’t need to get a new car/truck now... most just want the newest greatest whatever they can buy... this really isn’t the time for trading in or buying.... if more would not buy, then the high trap pricing will fall.... car sales man are loving life right now... so I can assure u that I have zero desire to give those greedy people my hard earned money... oh I could go on about the Crooked Auto industry right now.... but man it would be along post.....lol

I could give y'all the address...not a bad part of town (not Fairview, nor Bootleggers Cove, to cover the bad and the good) and the only $$ put in was about $1800 for interior painting.

Did not have a garage or a yard to speak of to the degree that matters.

Guess away to whatever degree you want. If commenting on the high price of new trucks is somehow offensive....

I'm guessing a highly undesirable area and/or the town home needed major work.

In 1992, the median home price was north of $100k.

Yeah, he's not counting the $110,000 he had to put into the place to make it habitable.

Dealers have been adding premiums to popular models for years, and for a variety of reasons. Don't like it? Shop elsewhere.

Parasitic dealers? Huh? Dealers are trying to make maximum profit. I think that that is why they are in business,at least I was always taught that the purpose of a business was to make money.
Have you been forced to buy a vehicle? Are your wife and children held hostage by the "parasitic" dealer?
When you walk onto a lot and see prices exceeding your desire to pay, just leave!

Did you really expect to get into a 6 year newer truck for only 9-16K?

No, not at all. I also don't expect to get into that one for $34K nor will I. $38K trade for a 42K mile truck that will get upper $50sK on their lot the day after being traded, and $5K over sticker on new? No thanks.

FYI I've moved into a few for @ $16K or a little more in the past.

In a year or so this market could be 180 degrees turned around, and probably will be.

Wonder what they do when a person comes in with an "A" or "X" plan. I was told they get audited for those and they have to sell it for the plan price.

The x/a plans are at the dealers discretion, they do not have to sell at plan price.

Wow, kept the truck for only 4 months and only lost the several thousand dollars in sales tax, and 4 months of payments. What a deal.
