How durable is my ac?

hello. I have a 2016 13.5 Coleman Mach ac unit on my Nash 25c. The last couple of weeks I have been using the ac quite a bit during the day. It got me wondering, how many hours a day can these things run? What kind of maintenance should I be doing? And what kind of lifespan should I expect? Thanks in advance for any info. matt

    Can run for years OR can quit tomorrow

    Just like a residential A/C Unit.
    Compressor, Fan/motor, evap coil, condenser coil and controls.

    Course residential unit isn't bouncing down the hwys

    Our 15K roof top A/C unit is 11 yrs old.
    When we FTd it ran when it was HOT and ran until it reached t-stat set point.

    Lifespan......?????

    don't be scared to use it. Thats what its there for. If we are on shore power and its the hot season ours runs 24/7. Of course the compressor kicks on and off.

    We ran our two 15s straight for days on the generator when it was over 100F. In five years we haven't had a bit of problem with them.

    Clean the rooftop coils now and then if you think of it. Clean the inside air filter maybe once or twice a season depending on how much you cook in the trailer.

    Think of it as a window air conditioner only on your roof. Except for occasional cleaning the filter and fins, nothing else to do. They are made to run forever, and non stop. But everyone knows they won't last 100 years.

    They are made to be run. In fact for some of the components non use is more likely to be harder on them than use.

    The most important thing is to clean the air filter.
    We winter in the Florida Keys where the temp is in the mid to upper 80's for six months and the AC unit goes round the clock.
    We clean the air filter once a month.

    Our first rig, a 1990 Bounder had a failure within a month or so of purchase and the replacement was running well when we sold it two years ago.
