  • A few things about that video amaze me. 1 - it was around 1941 and they were building these without the aid of computers. 2 - they were building these out of one facility at the rate of nearly 9000/year. 3 - that photography for this 'movie' was pretty good and they didn't have digital cameras, gopros or drones. Bravo Zulu.
  • I've read a few articles about Willow Run. It had major teething problems on start-up and was nicknamed "Willit Run." But they finally got it right.
    8600 planes? My foggy memory says that's over half of all the B-24's built.

    Remove the wings/tail and the 'Lib' could be converted to a unique RV.
