I was told today that Lance recommends them, but does not require them. Also was pointed out that they can interfere with the normal truck tie down struts. So I guess there is a plus and negative side to using them.
I have a set of 36" cab over struts, brackets, bracket washers (2) that I can sell if anyone is interested. Mine are too long for the Lance 1172 on my Dodge 2003, 3500.
