Well I got a 1972 Shasta Compact and the tongue jack doesnt have a wheel/caster on it. I dont know what size caster to get, dont know if that would make it easier to push around or not. Now I see they have 2 wheel "trailer dollies" or movers, but it looks like the "ball" on them might not be high enough, and, the handle seems like it would get in the way of trying to move it right over the hitch ball. Tongue weight is 170+I found this 12-Inch Tri-Dolly for moving furniture does it seem this would work better? ANY other suggestions for moving the trailer single handed would be appreciated.

that might work as long as the trailer is on a hard surface but i would bet that your tongue weight is more than what that dolly is rated for and it would just break in half if it was me i would measure the post and buy a jack wheel

I don't know how big a trailer your talking about, but the wheel for the tongue jack are readily available and not very expensive. I had one on my popup and moved it around readily. If you have a trailer with more than a few hundred pounds tongue weight, you aren't moving that trailer without the use of some type of mechanical advantage.

Tongue weight is 174 lbs. It is a 10' (13' with tongue).

Those small diameter narrow wheels will "stall" as soon as you roll onto gravel or dirt at a campsite. The triple wheels will be problematic on uneven terrain also. A single wheel with larger diameter and larger wheel width will help you in moving your trailer. It's only $5 more than the unit shown. I moved our tent trailer (1200 #)around relatively easily with a single wheel on the jack post. Occasionally, I'd have to use a 2x4 for leverage when in soft soil to "pry" the trailer into position.

The trailer weighs about 1135 lbs. Unless you're on a flat paved surface, it's going to be very difficult as a one person operation to move. I'm not sure you can, even then. Measure the outside diameter of the drop tube on the tongue & get the wheel that fits it. The bigger diameter wheel, the better. They are available.

My Starcraft came with both the stationary pad or the wheel pad.

They connect to the bottom of the trailer jack the same way...

ETRAILER sells replacement wheels - might be one that fits your jack.

Bulldog is brand. Bought it at Tractor Supply Company for 21.99. It's available online if you don't live near a TSC. Also most any trailer supply, farm supply, or marine/boat supply would have these wheels. Measure the outside diameter of your tongue jackpost and purchase wheel with socket diameter to match.

I have also seen double wheels that work even better in gravel.
