- Golden_HVACExplorerYea, you could spend 1,000 hours on that project and never make it look as good as a modern RV.
No thanks. - wmosesExplorerAll kinds of people out there. I am sure that there is someone who is willing to take that and do something with it; could even be a restoration!. :)
- mistressofdistrExplorerI would buy it for 200 bucks so I could learn how to do a frame off restoration or use it to build a tear drop.
The trailer frame is worth about 100 bucks in my area.
Hubby and I are retired so we have plenty of time to do things like this, we are currently working on a 1984 chevy short school bus that is on a G30 cutaway van chassis with a 350 motor. - JohnG4706ExplorerWeekend Project?
Looking at the photos, this trailer has been exposed to the elements for sometime. Probably not much can be salvaged.
The open side shows considerable weathering of the framing. The floor is probably totally wasted.
You are probably looking at removing 100% down to the frame....and then what do you have? Is the frame worth $500? Brakes might be rusted and frozen...bearings....axles...etc. Then the question of structural integrity of the frame. Welds and framing exposed and rusted, etc.
IF you said THEY would pay you $500 to remove it from their backyard, might be a consideration, Unless you can afford to invest a LOT of time and money to restore, and I use "restore" to actually mean "completely rebuild", I'd pass. IMHO - westendExplorerIt's so bad that the guy can't use it for a storage shed anymore so he thinks it's worth $500? Good luck on that.

It must be worth $500.00. Nobody ever overprices items on Craigslist. :B:B - Wagonqueen_TrucExplorer

good one. - K_CharlesExplorerYou'd have to be on crack to buy that at any price.
- dodge_guyExplorer IIBut the seller says the frame is solid......and the door is available! at least they are honest. I like how the first pic is of the decent side of the trailer.
- CavemanCharlieExplorer IIIMight, and I say again Might, be able to build a trailer out of the frame and axel. We have done that a couple of times before. But, it looks like on the one side the hub and every thing is missing. If it is then that is not even possible for what you could sell the trailer for.
