PRV on water line?
I was wondering is anyone uses a PRV (Pressure Reducing Valve) on the hose connection when staying at a camp ground, it sure would cut down the amount of water going into the waste tanks

I do Bumpy. Makes me feel better to shoot it with about 1/4 bleach and 3/4 water. Effective? I'm not sure if you don't let it sit for a while.

Thats good. Hope you spritz the spigot with bleach before hooking up your water line... You never know where the last campers hands were when he / she hooked up to it.

In my previous house I had 150 psi city water pressure.
The "lifetime" hoses from HD lasted 2 to 4 hr before they burst.
So I have Pressure Regulator permanently attached to my camper hose.
On the faucet side to reduce pressure fluctuation.
Never trusted the inline regulators, so have one of those.

It is a must! I now put mine right on the camp ground connection.
Ditto. I install mine on the spigot too.
When I leave the campsite for the day, I ALWAYS turn off the spigot too.

Freep, I stay at RV parks only when I can't dump and fill with fresh water elsewhere. Last trip...one night. So that night I hooked and took a long shower. (Sinful, I know) Lots of USFS and BLM campgrounds on the eastern Sierras don't have dumps or fresh water and I was headed to one.

yep, that is why I have a on/off valve with a 90 degree throw handle in my line to make it a simple task. one second, it's off, not twist, twist, twist, and repeat.
bumpy
