I don't know why anyone would use the GS card which I believe is 9 cents/gallon considering the alternative: The Pilot Frequent Fueler Advantage RV card gives 3 cents/gallon discount off of the cash price. Then I get 5% cash back with my PenFed card, our AmEx is also 5% but yearly cash back.

So GS at $4.00/gallon would cost $3.91 while the above would cost $3.77 so it's a no brainer.

PenFed Cash Rewards Visa Platinum: 5% cash back on fuel every month, must be swiped at the pump so no cash back at truck stop lanes, car and RV lanes qualify. No start up fee and no yearly fee. I believe there is a charge for a paper bill, but not sure.

Equally good in Canada with NO transaction fees unlike AmEx that has transaction fees.

I'm unaware the other cash back Goldstalker posted, but will check.

We also used Capital One Visa card on the summer trip to Alaska with 1% cash back on everything. No fees and no Canada transaction fees.

Second the Penfed 5% paid at the pump, 3% on groceries and 1% on all others.

PenFed had a cash back card a while back that had an unlimited 5% rebate on fuel. Not sure if they still offer it but it was the best deal going on a non-promotional card if you could qualify. PenFed has been notorious for turning down even 'A' credit borrowers if you don't fit their mold.

Shell program here limits to 20 gallons. Yours sounds great.

Look for a cash rebate card...cash back on EVERY thing you buy, not just fuel..(you can use the cash anywhere for anything)

I have citi cards, no rebate but nice awards program. Also my costco card give a quarterly rebate thru amex on purchases.
