I took care of the nasty roof left behind by the EternaBond (EB) not sticking to the shower bubble, but adhering great to the roof itself. I documented the disaster in this thread. I could not stand how awful it looked. I decided to take everything apart, get new parts including new bubble dome, vent and roof ladder flange thingys. I was considering a large 1-piece rubber roof but used 6" strips of EternaBond. I carefully cleaned the EB left behind- it required physical scraping and solvent to get that adhesive off, it is not easy to do. After cleaning and prepping I laid down the EB around the perimeter, placed a strip of butyl tape putter around it, used new flathead fasteners. I let is set up before trimming the spoodge putty and finished the caulking today.Before:After:

Looks good, but why did you put Eternabond down first instead of bonding the dome directly to the roof?

I originally did that and it is was was the cause of the snafu in that link I provided.... EB sticks to rubber roofing, but did not that plastic bubble thingy. I placed the EB down on this fix to cover up some areas where the aggressive mechanically scraping hogged into the top of the roof... plus there was some of the adhesive schmeg from the original attempt of using EB. This new EB acted sort of like "roof trim" to cover any imperfections onto which I could attach the new components as shown.

Even if the EB would have adhered to the bubble, it is perhaps not a good practice because my first attempt at the preventative maintenance was done a couple of years ago... since that time, the bubble plastic from the the UV's broke down the plastic and it would have needed replacing anyway. Even thought my good intentions of EB'ing over the bubble edge-flange might have seemed like a good idea, it really is not in case one needs to replace the bubble.
