- Buzzcut1Nomad IIReplaced the OEM sink fixture with one from Lowes, and tossed the OEM mattress and replaced it with a real queen size Sealy Posturepedic
- KANSASBOBExplorerIt's a Bronco pop up TC, so that's the mechanism to crank the top up.

Not my first mod, though first this year.... building a vertical kayak rack for the rear of the truck camper, mounts into the class V hitch. 80% done. Holds two Kayaks.
You will have to do a write up on that when your done. - KANSASBOBExplorerI'v been looking for a topic to post these pics in, and this looks like a good place for them.
The bed on my 2005 Ford was a little deep for my Palomino project. The front bed bumpers were degraded, and hit my bed in a bad location. (see white spot where they rubbed off on the spray in liner.
I built this removable deck to raise the camper, but was scratching my head about what to replace the crappy bed bumpers with. The answer came just after I installed my Timbrens! The heavy duty bump stops I removed to install the Timbrens where Exactly the right size and shape for the job! I love it when a plan comes together!

Sounds like a great idea. Will you be able to use the door while carrying the kayaks? Pictures ,please when done . - pctimeExplorerNot my first mod, though first this year.... building a vertical kayak rack for the rear of the truck camper, mounts into the class V hitch. 80% done. Holds two Kayaks.
- nycsteveExplorerMaybe adding wire shelving in all cabinets. Greatly increased storage, I dont really need to have hanging space, prefer shelf storage.
- sprink699ExplorerMy first mod was changing out my charge convertor. No more boiling batteries.
- 69_AvionExplorerThe first mods to the 1969 Avion family camper (done around 1970) was to remove the battery from inside the camper (acid smell had to go) and pipe a copper filler pipe into the water tank so the tank was easier to fill. I repiped that fill when I restored the camper. Now, to fill the tank you just hook the hose up to the copper pipe and open the gravity filler. When the tank is full, water comes out of the gravity fill and lets you know that it is full. It is much easier than using the gravity fill, which is still available.
