After attempting to make water "stick" to your baking dish, use a DRY paper towel to wipe the vertical surfaces...

The paper towel comes away WET. Yes, there is moisture on the surface!

Were you expecting the layer of water to be an inch thick or something?

WHERE did I state the water got on the panels AFTER they were stowed?? The conversation that you apparently jumped into without reading the whole thing, is about what is on the panels at the time they are stowed and where it will end up.

Yes I have indeed seen an Alaskan, as if you have followed what I posted I clearly stated it was the FIRST brand I chose to look at during our pre-buying information gathering process (before I had even heard of Outfitter/Northstar/hallmark). At that time I also spent quite a bit of time on the phone with Don or Bryan Wheat (can't remember which it was after 12 years) discussing what they could and couldn't do as far as options/modifications and costs go.

The camper top closes and seals when it is down in the travel mode.
Have you ever even SEEN an Alaskan camper transition from down to up, then back down?

The moisture stays on the outside of the camper's waterproof softwall even when folded and isn't going to wet the interior of the camper. As with any softwall it is not a good idea to leave them in the stowed position when wet and it should be raised again to allow the moisture to evaporate as soon as possible. Simply being in a high humidity area isn't going to cause a mold or mushroom(?) problem with the softwall.

If you are unfamiliar with the dynamics of fluids, put a bit of water on a plate and then move it slightly to simulate how the camper will move as it is going down the road. You will find that the water doesn't simply stay still in the center of the plate.
