Super, but after 8 years is the velcro still in good shape? Also, do you have the soft side on the curtain, or the prickly side on the curtain? I'm guessing soft side on the curtain as that will be the surface that moves around and therefore most likely to catch your skin and scratch you if it were the prickly side. I'll keep the prickly side of the tape affixed to the wall enclosure.
We have the hook ("prickly") side on the shower wall. Never really was an issue.
The shower curtain side gets replaced when the shower curtain does. Never kept track but guessing about three of four times in eight years?
The shower side has been replaced once in eight years of full time use. Easy to do, just peel of the old and stick on the new strip in it's place.
Each end of the shower curtain has two strips about 4 inches long, one near the top and one near the top of the tub.
We use the Velcro that comes in a roll, about one inch wide, and has a sticky side to mount. No sewing needed. Cut to length, stick and use.
Velcro and the RV life are natural friends. :) We use everywhere and love it! If something needs to be hung, or tied down, Velcro is always our first choice:)
