I searched craigslist for months looking for a Cargo a Trailer to compliment my truck and TC set up. Most cargo trailers were listed for a few hundred bucks below the price of a new one. On top of that my yamaha rhino was too tall to fit inside. I stumbled across a local manufacture that sells direct and placed my order over thanksgiving. I wanted a single axle trailer 12 foot in length. To my surprise for about the same price going through a dealer for a "pace" or "wells cargo" standard 7x12 trailer with nothing special I could get a fully decked out trailer that is 8x12 that resembles an RV. Just picked up the thing yesterday and I am pretty happy. I couldn't believe all the standard features.Frame being builtPicking up the trailerTotal height 6'9 and gate height 6'6" my rhino fits with room to spare. It also has a spring assisted ramp which is super nice Full interior paneling Only upgrade was the windows2 LED dome lightsRv style door with screen:)4' tounge with battery hook upRadial tires with nice rimsI plan on using this with my kayak, mountain bikes, surfboards, and desert excursions with our rhino. It is nice to have the 8' wide interior and I am glad I got the windows added. Nice trailer. I had one special made too for my Rhino. Its an open trailer but I went with all aluminum and electric brakes. I didnt need that extra weight pushing against the truck when braking. Too add the brakes was not that much extra and well worth it for peace of mind.

What made you go with a single axle? My experience with them is that they get squirrelly out on the hwy and fishtale a lot-even when loaded down.I ask only because I may be in the market for one.

Nicely finished inside too and even has a door valance trim.

Single axle trailers are more sensitive to improper loading, but they should be stable if you get the weight balance correct. I suggest loading the Rhino so the engine or heaviest end is forward of the axle.I love my 20' enclosed. It's nice being able to store items away out of sight and of the weather.

Well, after less than a year time to go bigger :) we recently aquired a polaris ace so the 12' needed to go.

Upgraded to a 8x16 dual axle, same custom manufacturer
How do you fit a yamaha rhino, polaris ace and canam 70 quad in a 16' trailer?

Custom 50" door on the side to drive the 48" wide ace in :0

And they all fit

I'm surprised the 4Runner felt that weight. My Mazda with G6 handled 2000 lbs (16' Scamp) like it wasn't there except for acceleration. The only changes from stock were 500 lb helper springs and a 5000 lb Class 3 receiver. This setup towed a 4000 lb boat (which was felt).

Curious how they attach the siding to the frame? Rivets, high bond tape, or urethane adhesive?

The reason I ask is it looks like a steel frame with aluminum siding, which is exactly how we built our camper. When my wife saw the pictures at a glance, she thought it was taken in our garage :-)

I tow my 6 X 12 Cargo trailer behind my Wolf Creek 850 with a 34 inch hitch extension. Had some trouble with sway until I moved my quad forward about 8 inches, and haven't had any trouble since. Great rigs.

To me, that would be as close to an ideal as I could find for a trailer. The only real modification I'd have in place would be a reinforced steel bar (or bars) that I could use to slide in place ad secure the RV style door to keep it from being pried open. That way, if one is in the trailer, they can get out no matter what (remove bar, open door), but someone on the outside would have to go through the locks on the rear ramp door in order to get in if the bar (or bars) is/are in place.

If I wanted to get fancier, I'd probably add a solar charger, a decent battery, trailer vents, and a Fantastic Fan, just to keep the rig bearable when stored.

I have had friends following me tell me my trailer tracks straight . Keep on top of tire air pressure.
