Hi I have been removing the Atwood jacks one weekend and jack at a time to straighten out ,change some lag screws and apply adhesive. This weekend my wife went out of town and she’s having car trouble. I don’t want to take camper 250 miles one way to help her if I don’t have to.I want to unload camper and just take truck. I’have a jack off now . Now I know I could just put the jack back on and lower truck camper to ground but, just wondering, has anybody use just three jacks Instead of four to unload camper off truck, just something I might have to do in future I might as well ask now. Rear Jack? Solid maybe. Front Jack, please take before and after pics for the insurance company.

If it's a rear jack, probably OK. My camper sits on two front jacks and one rear jack every time I load or unload the camper. The rear jacks don't lift or lower at the same rate, so one or the other rear jack is usually in the air a couple inches. If it's a front jack, no way, that corner of the camper won't lift off the truck bed.That said, I'd be very nervous having the camper sitting way up in the air on three jacks. A rear jack a couple inches off the ground is on thing, no jack at all would scare me, even though I know it wouldn't tip.Scott

I wouldn't give it moment's thought. I'd take off with truck, camper and everything and go to her rescue! Just go. She needs you right now! Don't overthink it! Just go.

I didn’t make the situation clear enough, She is near her sisters house and the car still runs ,So She can bring it to a Local shop, but I started thinking about a trip there if really needed.

Since you don't need to go now, finish the project At least, finish the jack you are working on and wait until she's back to do the rest.I've had my TC on three as well going down, but I wouldn't leave it that way.

. You are right, I knew I could do that but I was just wondering if there were a lot of people out there that have raised and lowered the camper with just three jacks.

How long would it take to put the lag screws back in without sealing?

Seems like it should be a 5 min job to put the jack back on.

Don't leave it unsealed for long but to do a quick rescue run, seems like a simple choice.

Here comes COG education again.
Would you happen to know your COG point, you can make cross lines between the jacks (you can simulate it on paper at smaller scale) and see how much forward of center cross the COG will be.
That will give you idea about comfort zone that will keep your TC from tilting on rear corner with missing jack.
Obviously moving COG to opposite side will increase comfort zone.
On my 12-foot Lance COG is at least 18" forward of center cross between the jacks.

Campers cannot support themselves with one bad front jack. Rear jacks, sure but never the two fronts

Myself,I error on the side of caution anymore with most things because if something can go wrong,it usually does.

My Lance often moves on 3 jacks as rear jacks seem to have different speeds and 1 of them hangs in the air after about 20 seconds of raising or lowering.
Meaning that is doable although camper twist a bit and when I don't pay the attention - slide will scratch the wall.
Still doing it with jack removed, I would move heavy items inside to opposite corner.
