We started our retirement in 2007 by full timing in a 40 foot diesel coach. After 4 years on the road what we found was that most of the campgrounds were places that we did like to stay in either, they were way too crowded and noisy, too many rules and restrictions, filled with unfriendly and rude people etc. We ended buying a nice rural piece of property, where I have virtually no neighbors, my dogs can run free, I can have all the bonfires I like, I can shoot my guns in my backyard, etc. etc. Got rid of that 40 foot coach and bought a F250 diesel, a 30 foot toy hauling trailer and a Harley Electra Glide for the few times I do venture out.
