The interesting thing about camping or rather rv-ing. There's as many definitions as there are people doing it.
Some folks enjoy the community of a high density RV Resort, driving around with the golf cart, getting together for pickleball Tuesday nights, the Sunday afternoon pot-luck. Nothing wrong with that at all, just not my groove.
The opposite end is the folks with a rig that can crawl down a near impassable trail so they can spend their time in solitude under the stars, the closest neighbor dozens of miles away. I dream of having an expedition / overland setup but haven't made it a reality.
The few private parks I've stayed in (Alaska and Canada), my neighbors both long term and transient were very friendly and a lot more social than folks I meet at government parks.
