thinking HTT to TT

I'll throw another one out there. The Econ 20BBS, which is similar to our 20RLS that we love.

We traded our Shamrock 232 for our Palomino Ultra Lite 273 two years ago and could‘nt be happier. It has a shallow slide that holds the kitchen and couch and still lets you walk through the trailer when closed. As far as ventilation there are windows in the front bedroom, cross windows in the living area, corner windows in the bunk area, two entrance doors and a fantastic fan. Dry weight is stickered at 5480 but Palomino dropped the Thoroughbred-Ultra Lite line and replaced it with the Solaire and do not offer our floor plan. Keep looking, when you find the right fit you will all know.

With a TT, the AC (and perhaps a generator) is a must. There isn't enough open area from TT windows that would allow for a decent flow-through breeze if the weather gets too warm or humid, even with battery operated fans. You could always install a Fantastic fan in the bathroom, or another vent location if your rig has one, and those do a decent job at moving air, but even that might not be enough in some areas.

As for weight, check the dry weight, and add 1500-2000 pounds onto that for fresh water, propane, batteries, and other items.

Not where I go (doesn't get that hot), but we don't get the breeze like we used to. Have a couple of battery fans to move the air at night - not the same.

The 2702 is basically the same body as the ROO 23SS - newer version. Ours had the standard dinette. Absolutely LOVED the counterspace in the kitchen. Both of ours have been Rockwood products and had no problems. Good fit and finish.

We had a 19 ft HTT (Keystone Zepplin 2 19TT). The kids were small, but for some odd reason they grew, plus I was kinda jealous watching TT pulling into their spots and simply leveling up and being done where I had to open the two ends, put the gizmos out, make the beds. Not to mention worrying if it was going to rain during the break down. Plus I do not miss the neighbor's conversations that kept me up at night since you could hear a cricket fart thru the tent ends. O well, I do miss the small amount of weight and the room it did have, but I enjoy the 34 ft room of the monster we have now.... Go ahead make the decision, you won't look back...until you get to the campsite!

Yes, I'm here in Ontario like you appear to be... July and beginning of August my AC is running in my TT. Breezes don't happen in a TT very often.

I have a dry weight trailer of 4300lbs, fully loaded with gear, battery, propane, ect. (water tanks empty) I hit the scales at 6006 lbs. We do not pack a lot of stuff, but the weight adds up quickly.

One thing we lost going from HTT to TT was ventilation on all 4 sides. Now we only have windows on the right and left and can't always enjoy the breeze. Some newer ones I've seen have windows in the sides of the slideout - not sure if that helps with the whole camper.

Outbacks look very nice thanks
