Rushmore, Yellowstone, Tetons, Idaho, Salt Lake City, Tahoe, and finally Monterey)...she did great with the 27-footer, but wasn't packing the gear for the new sled.

Your towing experience will be much more pleasant! Your in for a real treat! Congrats on your new truck! Nothing like the sound of a diesel purring, you know!

Hmm. After owning a 2001 7.3 diesel my 2013 6.7 seems very, very quiet. Never considered it to sound like a SEMI. But your in for a pleasant drive!

Incidentally, I recently was at a camp which is off the grid. I could hear their diesel genset running inside a building 100' away over my 6.7. Can't imagine being INSIDE that structure...

Sure was! Mid-may, and still covered in snow! That drive up from Sheridan was long and STEEP!

Was that photo with the fuel pump taken on top of the bighorn mountains in wyoming at Bear Lodge?

Congrats, never heard a modern 6.7 Ford described as sounding like a SEMI though :). I think it's the quietest of all the modern diesels out there.

My F250 just squeaked under a 7' garage door. With the F350, you need a taller opening since the rear rides 2" higher when unloaded. Even so, my antenna would drag, so it only went into the garage for maintenance once the antenna was removed.
