Trailer Basement-Aluminum supports - fasteners?

I'm a newbie to the travel trailer world. Just in my first year of ownership, 2008 Keystone Passport, 24QS. I want to organize the basement which is a pass through access. The interior structure is exposed within the compartment and the supports are aluminum. Is it possible/safe to screw plywood onto the aluminum supports so I can then add hooks and bins for items like the jack crank, the bar for getting the load distribution arms into position, AC electrical adapters etc.? If not what are some other ideas for mounting to the internal structure?

Update: Thanks for the comments. Going with 1/4" plywood. plan to keep the heavy stuff supported by the floor and only hanging things like a broom, the awning tool etc. I'll post a photo when finished.
  • Consider the weight you are adding. Assuming the compartment is up front, most of the added weight will be on the tongue. Plywood would be one of the heavier options.
  • Sure, just use fasteners that are made for metal---self-drilling, self-threading, sheet metal thread, etc. If you're really going heavyweight and have just a few aluminum supports to hold the weight, you may wish to drill through the support and use threaded fasteners (nut and bolt).
  • Yes, you can attach to the aluminum structure. Best to use is self-drilling screws. Material of the fasteners can be mild steel.
