to install 50hp nozzles... far as I know the new owner still running those same injectors.

OK Troy, whatever you say. We all know you take every opportunity to say the Cummins diesel is junk. That's fine. Pretty sure that opinion is contrary to most people's opinions and experiences.

OK Ian... I've owned 05 Dodge and my cousin wrenches on them. Injectors on these common rails fail more than your internet buddies report. :W
People with the 03-07 5.9 Cummins should be running as small of a micron fuel filter as possible if they want to make it past 150K.
Say bull all you want but you talk to Dynomite Diesel or any Bosch injector shop and they will tell you the same.
Like everything there are variables. So you won't run a 4 micron filter if it will help your injectors run longer?
There are several things one can help prevent or fix on a Cummins if they so choose.
1. replace starter contacts before it won't disengage and burn up wiring
2. replace lift pump on 98-02 24 valve before the lift pump takes out the injection pump.
3. Tab killer dowel pin before it comes out and damages the timing case.
There are several more but bury your head and roll the dice. I don't I fix things before they become a problem.

Don
You're an entertaining fellow Don. But just so you know back in '12 I stopped on I-10 on 2 occasions to assist some RV'ers who were broken down and sitting on the shoulder.
BTW... Those 2 trucks were 6.7 cummins. Just so you know. :W
