I typically turn my pump off when I leave my TC. With the accumulator, I will have two or three quarts of water with the pump off.

I too have the Surflo Whisper pump. The name does not describe the pump as bigfoorford stated. The accumulator does not make the pumps quieter, it only reduces the frequency of times the pump turns on. When someone uses the toilet at night, the pump seldom comes on waking others up.

You can install the accumulator in any position. My preference is to mount the accumulator with the inlet pointing down. This allows you to completely drain the tank. It is important to have correct air pressure in the accumulator, and the pump. If incorrect, the amount of water held in the tank typically will be incorrect. I think there this is detail in the link bigfootford posted.

Only thing I would do is mount the tank Vertically so you can drain it.

I do not winterize mine... I keep a small 750 watt electric heater set for 50deg... I do not like my camper to get cold and then damp. We rarely get below freezing here in Sacramento anyway.

My BF is a 2500 9'6".

My pump is in the compartment under the rear dinette seat wall that is against the bathroom and is . covered by 1/8 plywood.

In the compartment is the hot water tank too, along with it's plumbing and the winterizing plumbing.

I installed the Accumulator Tank on it's side... in that compartment against the hot water tank.

Prior to the accumulator tank install I replaced the OEM water pump because it was so noisy. I installed the Surflo Whisper pump... hahahaaa It was almost as noisy as the OEM... Plumbing tubing actually makes all the noise.

So I liked how Reddog1's Accumulator tank worked along with other local Rv.net folks so I installed the tank...
I can run about 1.5 quarts before the pump turns on...

The two items towpro mentioned, the Shurflo pump and accumulator AND the Shurflo Pump Silencer Kit is all you need.

I can't even hear my pump anymore.

Too small and too pricey. You need to look at the forum link posted by bigfootford. It is important to understand, the larger the accumulator, the less often the pump kicks on, and the longer the pump runs to fill the accumulator. The one in your link is minimal in my opinion, looks cute, but not large enough to be worthwhile to install.
