I found this part laying on the floor when I got home, it was right at the front edge of my main slide. The camper is a 2016 Heritage Glen, with the Norco cable slide. I looked on the parts page for the slide, and I didn't see anything that looks like it. Seems like after every tow there is a screw or something that has fallen loose. Any helps is greatly appreciated!

That is a bed lift support bracket. it holds the gas charged lift supports under the bed. and you will be finding things for a year, they drop stuff and leave it. nothing like attention to detail when you are building a $30k RV!

Apparently it's not just $30K RV's that have issues. I know of a couple who purchased a $1,000,000+ class A and they say it took them over 2 years to work all the bugs out of it.These kinds of stories don't say much of Quality Control.

I believe you nailed it.. Now the question is did it come off the bed, or was it dropped in the camper and not picked up. I'll have to run over to the storage unit one evening and see if the bed struts are all connected.I drives me nuts to spend a bunch of money on something, and it is assembled so sloppy. Just stupid stuff like screws not all the way in, and others stripped out. We had a Popup for 9 years, and the only thing we had that messed up, was the plastic hinges on the dinette lids.

There is no marks around the holes, which suggest it was never mounted, so it would seem it was dropped and never picked up.

Be sure to check all of the cabinets and compartments. Anywhere that has a gas strut.

In over 10 years of RVing we had exactly one of those break. So I won't say 'never' but the odds of a second one breaking must be pretty low.

As already noted- you do find some pretty strange things in a brand new RV.

Thanks for all the info. I no y'all are right that is was probably dropped on the floor during assembly.

Gee whiz, It looks like a normal trailer hitch with a welded on ball to go on a foreign made little engine vehicle! I remember seeing one like that on a Honda Ridgeline a couple years ago... :)

Fortunately the factory allows the piece mill workers to have more parts then necessary for each unit.

If they had only given them just what was needed for each unit---think how much worse installs would be if part was dropped

ditto on the new/unused bed support . . spare for you I hope... Keep in mind that your bed may have only come stock with 1 support, not 2. So don't lift it and automatically start looking for 2... Check for a piston hanging....
