Where can I get Heki skylight hinges?

You should be able to find a stainless steel clevis pin in a size close enough. There is no reason to have a bolt, you just need a keeper ring to hold it in place. Maybe something like this? You would need to measure the size an pick one.

The hinges are plastic too - when my dome cracked rather that buy new hinges I was going to machine some aluminum ones, but ended up ordering a whole new skylight instead.

Yes... it is a PIA!. I did part of the work while standing though the opening once the skylight was removed while standing on the upper bed and since the camper was off the truck I set up one level of scaffold at the front to get to the front portion of the skylight from the outside... that made it a little easier.

As far as the plastic one-time use hinges, I think I am going to try to come up with something on my own. At first I was thing of a long thin hex bolt with 2 nuts on the end (one to lock against the other since I do not want to collapse the hinge assembly) but I then thought that I don't want the threads to mar and hog the inside of the plastic(!) hinges. I am going to look into seeing if I can find a metal bushing insert with the long hex bolt ...then I will only need 1 nut. If I am successful I will post images.

d3500ram, I am looking at the same project and can't see a way to seal all the way around the Heki skylight without removing the dome and standing on the bed. What a PITA! If you find a good source of replacement parts, please post it. TIA.

I can see where the plywood would give peace of mind over the Heki- I would hate have that thing fly off going down the road... If I ever had to do something similar I would 'prolly infill frame and install a Fantastic.

Yea, they are a lot more usable setting back a bit... but as long as NorthStar classifies it as a short bed model as well then I use as such- sure is nice to have a 3000 remote start genny on a truck camper.:C

I think I just put a putty knife under the combing and kept prying the whole thing up, also remember something about those little black shock absorbers, I think I disconnected one end of those.

You then lift up the cover and can stand on the bunk for the whole job...
I ran butyl tape around the sealing surface, put torque on those red inside clamps, then sealed all the outside surface mounting with self leveling Dicor.

Our Arrow had this whole shed roof of a huge building fall due to Ice on the roof one winter, smashed the A/C, bathroom skylight and I was glad to see the Heki get broken, good riddance to that... I replaced it with a piece of painted 1 " plywood!

The camper is still on the road and working good, they build them tough.

Wow... -that sucks that you have a broken hatch! That 'aint gonna be cheap. I had to pay my portion of the idiot bill when I left that big window on the side slightly open...$500 later (for parts only) I had a new one in.

I already took the cover off by cutting the hinge pins but will keep your method in mind when I need to do maintenance next time. But, I would be a little concerned about the seal being too tacky so as to not allow the assembly to pop out

You don't have to remove the hatch from the white combing.

Lay in the bunk, remove all those red plastic fasteners on the inside
of the combing....(pull out all those little plastic covers with the holes in them)

The whole hatch, clear plastic moveable cover and white combing will
then pull off when you break the cement bonding it to the roof hole..

It all stays together as one assembly on our Arrow...

I had it all out twice, it was not as hard as it looked, just loosen
up the caulking and pull that thing out of there..

Ours is laying in the backyard now, a piece of nice plywood over the hole.

A barn roof fell on the camper and broke the clear plastic part..
