We aren't traveling as much as we were and would like to sell the membership. I know posting anything for sale here is not allowed, but would like any input on platforms that would be good to market it. We got our money out of it in the first year, but don't want to keep up the membership with annual dues etc. Any organizations, magazines, blogs etc that you can think of would be appreciated.Valve stem extensionHave Tiffin on Freightliner chassis. Took in for service and they performed recall service of removing rear/inner tire valve stem extensions for safety issue. Now I can't get to valve to put air in. Freightliner won't touch it since it was a recall, and my dealer won't touch it since it was a Freightliner recall. Can't find any info on this topic. Any ideas?PA Turnpike-worse in US?I live in PA, so know the PA Turnpike well. After traveling through 35 states or so in the past 2 years, I come home and realize the PA Turnpke is probably the worst interstate I have traveled on. Toll cost is higher than NJ or NY Fuel/diesel cost is at least $.15-$.25 more than anywhere else in state No DEF at the truck diesel islands, but you can buy a "box" for a high price. Oh and they usually only have 2-3 islands so waiting is the norm. We returned from the Hershey RV show and found a service plaza with pump out...only in PA would they put it on the wrong side of the lot. Had to pull in and make U turn to pump out, and make another U turn to get out in front of the truck pumps. The road is in good shape in most places that aren't under construction, but still have lots of rough spots. I just had to rant. I feel better.Re: Opinion on Forest River Berkshire QualityWe have the 2018 Tiffin 33aa bought with 9K miles on it in the Fall of 2019. Have put another 22K miles on it in past year and love it. It was exactly what we were looking for. Short enough to be easy to drive, but still a good DP w/360 Cummins and 10000 Towing. We did have 2 breakdowns this year, but they were all on the Freightliner side. Have no idea what they sell for now, we paid $185 in October of 2019. Pull a Jeep GC with it easily. Just my 2 cents.Memphis to BransonHeading to Branson this week for 4 days from Memphis. Just started looking for things to do and with the exception of dinner shows and the Titanic exhibit, doesn't seem to fill up 4 days. Any suggestions? Also looking to drive through Little Rock on I 40 or use RT 65 north. Both appear to be about the same time, but RT 65 is a little shorter distance. At $5/gal for diesel, I am starting to pay attention to distance, and not just time.Re: Water Pressure RegulatorI had the guard variety and it broke after a few months of use. Gauge broke. Regardless of adjustment, needle never moved. Even when it had no water hooked up to it. Had to replace it with what was available at campsite with basic, no adjustment variety, and have just forgotten to replace original.Heading to Alamosa COChecking for recent information on fires heading in this direction from Denver. Currently on East Coast and heading that way from Missouri. Looks bad with NOAA info. Any info appreciated. GriffRe: Gas cards and any tips for the full time class a diesel LouLawrence wrote: It should be mentioned that one of the best advantages of the TSD fuel card is that you swipe at the pump, fuel and drive away. You never have to leave the fuel island. So, so easy! this is an old topic, but thought i would chime in with the prices being so high lately. We have saved $.75-$.90/gal in the past 2 weeks traveling south using the TSD card over pump price. Sometimes pump price is high, but still always competitive rate with discount and easy to pay and go at Island. Always buy DEF at the same time. TSD price with discount is usually, (not always) the cheapest or close in given area. We have used it across the country and have no complaints. I won't kill myself for $.10/gal savings if it means going out of my way by much.Re: Cooking with wind on BlackstoneWell good to know I am not the only one having this issue. Funny I never saw any info on this when I was investigating the Blackstone. Should have known to just look on Amazon. Thanks for the info.Cooking with wind on BlackstoneJust got a 17" Blackstone to replace our Coleman. All good, but on a windy day, I couldn't get it hot enough to cook anything. It was an issue with the Coleman, but just took a bit longer. The gap between the burner and griddle is significant. I tried to block the wind, but it just didn't work. Ideas? Appreciate any input.
