All ActivityMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsCeiling fabric hanging looseThe fabric on the ceiling in our coach is hanging loose in one area as a result of a leak. I caulked everything outside on the roof. Now I am wondering what type of glue I should use to get the fabric to remain in place. It appears to be a leather or imitation leather that has a foam backing. Any suggestions? Thank you for your help in the past guys! CampsmokeWater check valveThe city water inlet has a check-valve on our class A coach which is now growling every time we turn the taps on. Has anyone had this problem?Awning fabric separated at seamThe awning on our class A coach has separated at the seam near the top of the coach. The tear/separation is about 3.5 inches in length. Has anyone else had this situation and if so how did they repair it?Re: Solar battery chargerFound a Coleman solar at Canadian Tire for $29.95. I was told that they go on sale for $10. Just saw one installed on a new coach - bolted to the grill in front of the engine connected direct to his battery. - he also had one on the dash which was plugged into the 12 volt outlet and charged his house batteries while coach is stored for winter. Thanks for the comments fellow RVers!Solar battery chargerH As anyone installed a Coleman solar battery charger on their coach?Brake sensor on Master brake cylinderHave a 2005 motorhome Workhorse chassis - lost use of front brakes - in Georgia on way to Florida - brake lines were corroded behind the coach battery - the bottom sensor on the master cylinder was just hanging there - does anyone know where I can get a replacement sensor? Apparently the acid from the battery caused the brake line to corrode and leak. Thanks to Good Sam Roadside service for their help getting me going on two occasions this trip!Re: surge protectorsThank you Joe and Dakota - we are in Florida at this time and leaving or home near the end of April. Have a great day!surge protectorsOur coach has a 50 amp service. However we very seldom stay in a campground that has 50 amp service available. So we adapt to a 30 amp service! If I were to buy a surge protector would a 50 amp protector work just as well when we are on a 30 amp serviced site? Thanks to you fellow fulltimers for your past help! Have a great day!Re: Dometic RefrigeratorsWell i am back now! And I guess this is my extra "POST" for those who count and are truly interested in facts! We changed the cooling unit in the 1292 and also changed the "motherboard" our fridge now runs on both eletric and propane and does not turn off when the outside temp gets around 53 degrees F.Dometic told us that the only time it shuts down is when the outside temp reaches 28 degrees F. Yes it was costly but we did not have to remove the fridge from the coach or rebuild the frame in the slide-out. Happy trails to those who helped us with their kind info!Re: Dometic RefrigeratorsIs it possible to have the refrigerator's unit recharged with the cooling ammonia or whatever they use for the heat transfer?
