Sold our truck and 5th when we moved to Huntington Beach Ca. Missed the rv life style so much we bought a used 32 ft mh. Spent 6 weeks traveling thru some western states in Sept and Oct.. After returning, decided that we could not spend long periods of time in 32ft mh. Looking to sell it and buy a larger one. We still travel with cats. The funny thing about that Old Fella Rally is we were maybe the only couple with out a dog. We just love animals and have met most folks because of folks walking their dogs. Hope we can still meet up again. We still love the life style, just can't go back to full time again. Love the photo's of your dogs.Re: Wonder where a few of the core member's gravitated to?Don't know if I would be considered an "old timer" or not. I started reading the forum a long time ago and was reading it when Richard first found Old Fella. We attended the first Old Fella Rally and met everyone there including Walter and Garland. We've traveled all over the US and parts of Canada full time and decided to come off the road 4 years ago. These days, sad to say, I check in with old friends and family on Face Book a little too often.. I have to come back here once in a while to find out what's going on in the world of pets and rv'ers.. BarbRichland Washington rv park?We are leaving Coeur d'alene Idaho in a few days and hope to get as far as Richland Wa near the Colombia River.. Any suggestions on an rv park? We have a motor home and are pulling a small toad.. We traveled the Oregon side of the Colombia a few years ago and want to travel on the Washington side this trip.. Thanks BarbRV parks in IdahoWe are in Bryce Canyon Utah and will be heading to Idaho tomorrow.. We'll be traveling on HWY 84 to Boise and up to Coer d Alane via hwy 55. Any suggestions on nice rv parks along the way especially once we get to Coer D Lane.. We have a 32ft MH and pulling a toad.. for over night stops we look for pull thrus and at least electric and water.. We are planing on traveling for 6 weeks so any nice area and good parks mean we stay for a while although for long stays we would like full hook-ups.. Also any suggestions on what to see and do would be appreciated.. Boat lake tours, trolly tours etc. that we might enjoy. Thanks BarbRe: Leveling jacks won't workThanks for all the suggestions.. believe me my husband did all the things that were suggested as far as starting the engine , the brakes etc. The next day he looked in the engine compartment YET again and saw two buttons that were not mentioned in the manuals and books we got with the MH. He pushed those two darn buttons and low and behold the jack came down, the steps came out and everything went back to working correctly.. Something must have reset... We are back to being happy campers.. Just miss our old fifh wheel is all...Never had any problems with it. This is an older motor home, but very well cared for and never looked as old as it is.. That's why we bought it.. Thanks again. BarbLeveling jacks won't workWe have a 2001 SouthWind 32v Motor Home. We bought it used last year and have had to fix a few things. We just left Tuesday for our real (6 weeks) trip.. We've had it out a couple of times with no problems until now. The main problem is the leveling jacks will not come down. My husband has done everything he can to make them come down. Nothing works.. He's checked all the fuses he could find. Nothing. We are at our wits end.. The other problem is our steps now refuse to come out.. This problem was just fixed within the last two months and they worked fine until our first day out.. I can live with this inconvenience but we are worried about traveling for 6 weeks with the jacks working.. We are in Bryce Canyon Utah so we have limited options at the points.. Any help would be appreciated.. Thanks BarbRe: Bryce Canyon c.traveler2 wrote: MrsSoCalToolGuy wrote: We are headed out for a few weeks of travel after Labor Day. First destination was/is Bryce Canyon. Any recommendations for a 2 or 3 day stay? I just looked at RV Park reviews and it was not very helpful.. The first two sounded pretty bad, and the last one was pretty expensive at 46 dollars a day imo. Any suggestions? Thanks Barb Why not stay at Bryce's North Campground, they have sites that will handle your rig. Thanks for the suggestion, but we are kindof parshall to a few hookups. I like at least electric and water if possible.:)Re: Bryce Canyon Dance Chick wrote: jolooote wrote: Panguitch is at least 40 miles away from Bryce. It Red rock Canyon looks like a good fit for usRe: taking cats into canadaThanks for all the replys.. We went ahead and took them to the vet for the shots, plus rabies. They were not happy (campers). but now we hopefully don't have to worry about crossing into Canada without the proper papers.. Our luck though is no one will ask.:R That's the way is goes I guess. Thanks again BarbRe: Bryce CanyonThanks everyone for the good suggestions. Looks like Red Rock Canyon may be a good park for us.. Barb
