The screens in those halves are pretty dirty (especially after sand storms in Yuma). I see the pull tabs but there is a crank mechanism that I think needs to be taken care of. Does anyone know how to remove these screens - specifically detach the crank mechanism and more importantly re-attach? ThanksManual window awning does not retractWinnebago Adventurer 38J. Manually operated window awning (not the big automatic awning) will not retract. I release the hold down strap and instead of trying to pull me off my feet it barely moves. I don't have a ladder with me at the CG but I can reach the roller. I tried rolling it a little bit and it did move some but very stiff. Is this the right thing to do - that is get a ladder and roll it up manually until I can get it fixed. Unfortunately we are to leave the CG tomorrow so naturally this fails tonight - and open!Re: Anyone used singlepoint for wifiJanis, It was a pleasure meeting you and your husband (even if the weather was not the best). You inquired as to whether I had used this unit in a remote location and I replied I had not. This week we are in Huachuca City AZ. In this RV Park a number of folks with hotspots (typically smartphone hosted) are having issues even getting connected. I am getting connected and while at times the exchange is slow I have been able to work every day with no great issue. So this is not really quite remote but apparently the Verizon signal is not really strong here yet I am not impeded. Can't get DirectTV Satellite signal but no issue with internet via the singlepoint. I believe the Moov box your husband is looking at is even more powerful. Of course we will still be dependent on the cellular service but apparently the technology of this unit is such that it helps with weaker service. What does 1/2 reading on LP Gauge meanI understand my 28 gal lp tank can only be filled to 80% (22.4 gal). So when I read the guage on the tank and it indicates 1/2 (approximately) does that mean 1/2 of 22.4 or 1/2 of 28? ThanksRe: Anyone used singlepoint for wifiJanis, I will contact you as we get closer so you know when we will be there. Savoy Travel Center 14150 Highway 418 SwRe: Anyone used singlepoint for wifiWe do not do VOIP on this router. I use Ooma on at my fixed home and just have that forwarded to my Cell. Also I do not normally do any streaming or gaming.Re: Anyone used singlepoint for wifiThe unit I bought was 650.00 I believe (I don't have the record right in front of me) but you should get a quote from the vendor. I got 10 gig per month for 70.00 per month (again check with SinglePoint to get up-to-date pricing. As I said I don't have the optional software to show usage so I am not sure of my usage thus far. However, with another hotspot I used temporarily, I rarely got near the 10G limit. So I expect 10G will be sufficient for me. If you plan on doing a lot of streaming or gaming you might want more. One of the things SinglePoint provides is you can use the campground WiFi through your router thus applying security which typically does not exist on campground WiFi. You can also use this router with wired ethernet as well as cellular or WiFi. Also with the hardware I have you can have 2 SIM cards and it will automattically find the strongest signal. I have that option but noot activated as I don't need it yet. You also have the ability to define a guest login (unsecured).Re: Anyone used singlepoint for wifiWe will be stopping in Deming on 1/6/2016. If you can meet us at our gas stop, I would be happy to have you see the unit and also see it in operation.Re: Anyone used singlepoint for wifiJanice, I did get SinglePoint. There was an issue in accessing my work VPN. I work from my MH. Support finally did get that working and I am using it now. I did not have any issue with normal internet (although we don't do streaming or gaming) just VPN access for my employer. That though was important. It ended up being a firmware upgrade needed. Once that was applied I could easily access my work VPN. I went with a single SIM and that is Verizon. Thus far I have been working from the MH for 13 days and travelled over 1000 miles. I did not expericence any loss of service on my route. I have a week scheduled in San Saba TX where I don't think there is any Verizon service. The CG has supposedly good WiFi but we will see. I used the Verizon coverage map to anticipate low service at the locations I intend to stay. The monthly per/gig service fees from SinglePoint are competitive with direct from Verizon. I just have the unit on a shelf plugged into a outllet my inverter services while travelling. I leave it there while on shore power. There is an optional 12v power connector available which I have but have not used as of yet. I have it right in the front of our rig and have no problem getting signal anywhere in the 40 foot rig or outside. I was prepared to screw it down (there is the ability to do that) but thus far I have not found it neceessary. I have it sitting on a piece of shelf liner. I did not get the optional control software which allows me to monitor the usage. I will determine soon whether I need that or not. Anything more information I can relay?Re: Propane or genset for refrigerator when on the roadMy rig's refrigerator does not run off the inverter only 120AC or Propane. And it is right I have a 100 lb propane tank (gee a 100 gal would be rather huge wouldn't it). So based on what I see and have read, I will start by leaving the refrigerator on Auto and open the propane valve. I will attempt to be mindful and turn off/on the propane when fueling (one more itemm on the fuel stop checklist). I suspect for a part of the trip wee will have the genset on to cool the interior down as we will be in the Gufl States through to Yuma and back. Thanks for the discussion and suggestions.
