Thank you all for all the valuable input you have provided! The fifth I was looking at has been up on three contracts, two have failed, and the third was 10 minutes before I called about it! I have been looking for a dually, but not much luck finding one of those either. Think God is telling me to be happy with what I have! When buying a fifth wheel does the number of axles make a difference on the weight on the hitch. Two fifths same size, same weight, will the one with two axles have a higher hitch weight than one with three axles? Looking at a 04 36RE3 Mobile Suites with a title weight of 13,360 three axles. Not what I wanted to hear! I left out one thing about the 37ft trailer, it has three axles. Would that make a difference in the need for a dually? Thanks for the information! If we were to buy a dually, would you recommend going up to a F450, and of course the other question is long bed or short bed! We currently have a 34ft Mobile Scout by Sunnybrook 1999, I want to upgrade possibly to a 04 Mobile Suites by Doubletree 37ft. We have a 2000 Ford F350 for towing. How much harder or challenging would we find towing the 37ft over the 34ft we have? We haven't used our 34 but once on a trip from TX to Washington State in 08, long story why, but not much practice. Reason for upgrades, king bed, larger shower, more open. Also any advice on how to buy a used rv and get a good deal would be appreciated.2.3KViews0likes10Comments
