It turned out that the leak was about 3 feet from the drip, coming in at the far side of the bathroom vent. It can appear at locations other than where it is entering the camper. My issue turned out to be that the previous owner tried to seal the leak originally with silicone, then Dicor, and then Eternabond. Eternabond is pretty good but surface must be clean and per the manufacturer cannot be silicone. Yea i found out about it a couples years ago and pretty much did my whole roof with it.Every vent every seem. But didnt help the skylight.Re: leaking roof MrWizard wrote: when i use sealant or tape on a square vent, or a shower skylight i tape the whole frame NOT just a corner or a few screws i seal the whole thing where it contacts the roof When i said all four corners i meant from corner to corner.Where it sets on the roof.I would not do just the corners unless i knew that was where the hole was.leaking roofI have a rubber roof and had some leaks and used eternabond tape. The tape fixed all the leaks but around the skylight in the bathroom i can see the carpet fabric around the skylight getting wet when it rains.I put eternabond tape around all four corners of the skylight and still leaking.Should i apply more tape or does anyone have a suggestion for a spray that i can use on top of the eternabond tape?Re: batteryI left it bubbling for like an hour or more do you think it is safe to hook back up?Re: batteryI checked to see the charge on the battery and it was fully charged. The charger never gave me any indication it was finished.I guess i was overcharging it?batteryI have a 12v starting battery that i am trying to recondition using a charger. The battery is bubbling water around the fill caps.I have never seen this before and wondering if someone can shine some light on the subject?Re: batteries MrWizard wrote: is everything working properly Now ? starting battery was not charged 'enough' YET ! load spikes from the the generator 'starter' ? causing transients on the chassis electrical system Everything is working fine now. When the generator started the speed monitor went back down and the windshield wipers just barely moved. The only thing when i shut the motor off it was like the starting battery didnt recieve one bit of a charge. No juice so what ever. The headlights wont even come on but the generator started right up without the motor on without any problem.I guess its time to buy a new starting battery. The last time this happened was when i wired the house batteries the wrong way.I missed my step up because it came out so hard.Do you know if the onbourd generator will charge the starting battery? The starting battery is not hooked together with the house batteries.I have a 92 thor pinnacle. With a 4000 watt onan generator.batteriesI have something funny that happened to me the other day when i had a drained starting battery. After i jumped it off i ran it for a while and tryed to start the generator while the motor was running. As the generator was trying to start the windshield wipers tryed to come on and the speed monitor started to rise all while setting still and not touching the controls.Anyone have any idea what could have caused this?Surge maybe?Re: batteriesMost of the time it had been in storage had been winter.I keep the water up and make sure i have a full charge. This has worked for me a long time.Could the winter months and it being outside storage explain what happen or could it be something else?Anyway im gonna get a new starting battery and see if that helps but i hope it dont happen again.batteriesI put my rv in storage and used the disconnects to turn the batteries off.I have done this several times with no problem. This time i left it longer than i should have probley six months or longer. When i came back all my batteries were dead.I jumped it and it started.I let it idle for probley an hour and shut it off.I tryed to restart it and nothing not even a light came on the dash. The generator restarted though. Is it possible for the batteries to go dead after six months of sitting even with the disconnects?
