The only way I can make it go away is lie down under the slide and add some upward pressure while someone else closes it. Not sure where I am going to go from here. Sometime in the fall after our last trip I will do my best to sort this out.Re: Equilizer going from Ram 1500 to 2500Well I will hitch up and take some measurements and start to work on it from there. I suppose between the washers and the l brackets I can try a few easy adjustments rather than looking to remove the big 5" bolts.Equilizer going from Ram 1500 to 2500My current vehicle is a Ram 1500 and I will be borrowing my friends Ram 2500 diesel for a long trip coming up and I don't want to adjust my hitch. My question is do you think it will require an adjustment? I dont believe it will be too much of an issue if it off a little bit but I dont want to trade with the hopes of an easier drive and end up worse than I started. His hitch sits just under 19 3/4" and mine sits at 18.5" from the ground. My current set up is with 5 washers. I know this isnt the right answer but I really dont want to take apart the hitch to readjust. The 5" bolts are torqued to 320ftlbs as per the instructions and I would have to go to a shop just to adjust it and I could end up going back home then realizing it didnt work and have to go back and forth. Plus getting it back to spec again after we trade back. Lastly, I dont know what type of stress on the hitch it might cause to repeatedly be adjusting it over and again.Re: Slide out adjustment advice requiredRob, so i removed the underbelly enough to stick my arm in and lube the channel that the slide out arm that was squealing rides in. Seems to have made things much better. Lets hope this is all it takes!Re: Slide out adjustment advice requiredI have slide out lube and have used it quite a bit but it doesnt seem to fix anything.Slide out adjustment advice requiredSo my slide out started squealing from what sounds like metal on metal. My unit is a Keystone Hideout 29BKS and while sitting in the driveway I leave it a bit tilted fwd as the driveway is slanted and also to let water run off it because I don't need it perfectly level. It also slants a bit to the slide side. Although, I can't imagine this slight weight imbalance would cause such a drastic grinding noise. Hopefully the following video works! https://photos.app.goo.gl/Uaf3WeaoFsPq9oTe2Re: Battery Charging/Corrosion questionsThanks for the battery advice. As for the 120v mini fridge it really isn't that big of a concern to keep it running while driving. I will look into a inverter solution but doubt I will pull the plug as it is just an inconvenience rather than a need. The way I use is that it stays plugged in at all times at home in the driveway so that when im outside either with the kids/yard work/cooking on the grill/ hosting friends, or whatever I can just reach in grab a drink. Now when I travel (usually less than 2 hours) to a campsite I get there and the drinks are still relatively cool but I get tons of condensation and water buildup inside from melting ice in the freezer. So its not like I can't just clean it up when I get there.Battery Charging/Corrosion questionsAs per usual I am here to ask for assistance: So currently I have a 30amp outlet in my garage and my Camper stays plugged in at all times. Also, when I do go out I have it plugged in at the site at all times. BTW I have a two battery set up that came with the trailer. Seeing as how I don't boondock I am likely to just store one and be rid of it. But I don't want the corrosion to jump to the other battery if the cause is a power issue. Or ruin my batteries. So... 1. I have read some people say this may be the cause of my corrosion? Or could it just be some water getting in there? 2. Should I disconnect my battery when on house power? a. In order to do this do I remove all wires, just the ground, just power??? Or just unhook the cable that leads to the trailer? 3. Somewhat battery related. Is there a way to get power to my outdoor 120v fridge while travelling? Thanks!!!!Gap between tub and wallShould there be caulking between tub base and walls? Also there are two hoses coming out of the bottom of the trailer near the back colored blue and red. Now I can't imagine this being anything but water hoses, im just not sure what they are for and where they are attached? Re: Help identify purpose for holes in window frameThanks again everyone!
