Suddenly, while the RV is in storage, the awning motor does not work and we are getting ready for a trip in the next few weeks. Does anyone have an idea about what went wrong? Possibly burn out motor?Re: AIR BRAKES WON'T RELEASETemp was in the mid 40's. I purged a few days before this. I have only had this coach less than a year and don't know how often the previous owner had it serviced. I just purchased an air dryer replacement cartridge this morning and will install it this afternoon.AIR BRAKES WON'T RELEASE2004 Monaco Diplomat. We returned from our annual snowbird trip to Florida on March 10. Parked the coach in the driveway. On April 2, I was going to put it into storage but the air brakes would not release. I tried several times to brake, then release. Air pressure was good. I tried forward and then reverse. But it would not move. This happened several times. So I gave up for a while and tried again. Suddenly, it worked. thing seems fine now, but I need to know what caused this, and what to do the next time. Larry Henderson, KyRe: Cummins 8.3 diesel problem.Okay, Guys. I changed both fuel filters. I changed the shorter filter first and it looked as clean as a new one. Then when I took the longer filter off (the one with the sensor wire) "BINGO". The smaller holes, around the perimeter of the larger hole in the middle, were almost entirely clogged with a black, dark brownish looking goo. Sorry about the description, but I don't know which hole is the in-flow and which is the out-flow. So, I guess I can assume it was starving for fuel. I'm just amazed that it would run at all. Thanks again, to all that had some input.Re: Cummins 8.3 diesel problem. No other trips planned until May. I'm going to talked to the 3 local Cummins shops and see what they think before I decide. But it will definitely be going to the shop.Re: Cummins 8.3 diesel problem.Exhaust brake was off. Looks like I'm going to have to bite the bullet. Thanks to all for the info and suggestions.Re: Cummins 8.3 diesel problem.2004 Monaco DiplomatCummins 8.3 diesel problem.Left Florida heading for home on Monday 3/9/15. 850 mile trip, so it takes two days. During that two days there were 3 times that while going very slow, the engine lost power. It would not accelerate and black smoke rolled out of the exhaust. After a few seconds, and one time over a minute, it kicked back in and every thing was normal. Made it home but am concerned. I'm not a mechanic, but I am suspecting an injector problem or a stuck valve. Does anyone out there have knowledge on this problem. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, LarryRe: Speedometer gauge is offrobatthelake, Thanks for the input. You're probably right about the light. I just wouldn't want to spend big bucks for a small problem.Speedometer gauge is off2004 Monaco Diplomat has a couple of Dash gauge issues. The first is the speedometer. If I set the cruise on 60, I am actually going about 66. At 65 reading, it is 72 actual. At 55 it is 60 actual. I checked these speeds on level highways with my GPS. The other issue is the low fuel light never goes off. The fuel gauge, however, seems to be reasonably correct. The wiring for the light comes from the CF0042 distribution module. If I could find that module, I could just pull that wire. As long as the gauge is working I really don't need that light. If anyone out there knows anything about either of these issues, I would greatly appreciate any suggestions. Thank you Larry Henderson, Ky
