Towing a trailer
I would like advice on pulling a trailer with gross weight of 11,060 with a 2001 31 ft class C with a V10 engine? Since writing this I realized the truck weight was included in this weight.. Several months ago I was having work done at an RV repair place.(would never return to them) They said my solenoid for the battery disconnect was bad and removed it. They temporarily connected two wires ( or so they said). I would like to replace the solenoid. I know it was under my bed but have no idea where. I have a 2001 Four Winds Class C. Used the heat two nights ago and all was well. Yesterday ran out of propane and had it filled. Now the heat will only blow cold air. Homer, you have no idea what I went thru with that place...I will never step foot in that place again..So many things were done wrong or were never done. I am trying to compile a list, along with pictures now. I was suppose to be on the road weeks before I actually left. Was told it would take 1-2 mos at most and ended up being 5 mos! Couldnt just take it because they had my cabinets and furniture out of it, in fact sitting outside for 2 mos with only a roof overhead. They told me they would have my furniture steam cleaned before I left because it had been sitting out, they did and then charged me $300 for it!! I held out some money and they will not be getting it. I am prepared if they take me to court with pictures. I had my Class C into the shop for repairs. Had many problems with the repair place, too many to mention here. They also had it for 5 months which was crazy. When I finally got it, I found many problems. One is they had taken down my awning and put it back when they had completed a new roof. I went to use the awning and it came down just fine but when I went to put it back up, it wouldnt roll up. Had to have someone in campground come with a ladder and we had to manually roll it up. Question is, should the repair place have adjusted the tension because they had taken it down?? Other question is, the black rubber that goes around the outside of the windows. Several of mine have shrunk. I was a bit concerned that water could leak inside. They told me it is just decorative and has nothing to do with water leaking.
