The price quoted ($99) and list of services provided looks very favorable. Website is https://thervadvisor.com/ Never heard of them, but Dan Marino endorses (for what it's worth). Am currently with Good Sam at $149/yr. I just put in a call yesterday for my car (yes, it's covered) and their response was terrible (first time for that). Ended up with no service at all. Would appreciate input.Re: RefrigeratorGot it. Thanks, guys.RefrigeratorI unhooked my battery to have it tested, and my refrigerator turned off. Controls went dark. Reconnected battery and manually switched refer to Gas, then unhooked again. Don't know if it ran on gas while I was away for an hour or not. I thought refer would still run on AC from the shore power even if Battery not working. Guess I'm wrong?Converter problem?Sorry. This was originally posted to "Help" section by mistake. I'm plugged in to 50A shore power. Battery seems to not be charging. 12v lights are dimming by the hour. Other lights and outlets work. On my breaker box, the far right breaker won't reset. This breaker is the only one not labeled. I'm in a 2007 Montana Mountaineer 336RLT. When I arrived this Campground, plugged in to 50A plug and one side of the trailer lights/outlets didn't work (worked o.k. on 30A plug). Owner fixed circuit and now all lights work. Is it probable my converter is shot? Or possible some other explanation. (Didn't notice this problem at last campground, but it's possible.) So here's the next installment: 1) Had Walmart test the battery. They say o.k. but needs charge 2) I have battery connected, runs the lights o.k., a little dim. 3) I have my battery charger connected to battery at the 6A setting but battery only seems to maintain charge. Won't go much above 12.4 volts. 4) I've got power to the converter via the plug in the back of my circuit box. 5) Converter fuses are not blown. But when I pull the bottom one and re-insert, the fan comes on for about 5 seconds and then stops. Otherwise the fan hasn't run more than that since I started this process I'm going to disconnect my battery charger overnight. If battery continues to discharge, I'll assume converter is shot. May replace both battery (it's 5 years old) and the converter. Am assuming the shore power, which now runs all the electric lights and receptacles, is not the source of my converter issue.Re: Furnace orifice cloggedThanks, y'all, for your input. Contamination in gas supply line is my top pick. One tech I talked to blamed Fracking for producing dirty fuel, but slough-off from the iron supply pipe or manifold might be to blame. If my current failure is due to clogged orifice again, I'll save the clogging material and send it to the nearest forensic lab for testing. Maybe I can use their gas chromatograph mass spectrometer like they use on Forensic Files.Furnace orifice cloggedI have had my Suburban 30f furnace serviced twice in the last 3 years and both times the problem has been a clogged orifice. There was a pin-head-sized piece of grit plugging the hole. Furnace has just malfunctioned again. Same symptom as before. Blower blows, sparker sparks, no flame. I suspect a clogged orifice again. Anyone else have recurring problem of this type with their furnace?Re: Iron Out to remove toilet rust stainsRust originated from water in a campground we've left already. So just looking to remove it from toilet. So I tried it and worked great. Just wet some toilet paper, stuck it to sides of bowl, sprinkled Iron Out on and left it for 10 minutes. GONE! I'll know down the road if any damage to seal, but I don't anticipate it. Thanks for all your input.Re: Iron Out to remove toilet rust stainsIt says you can use it in your toilet tank (which has rubber seals) and your dishwasher (which has rubber seals). I just can't figure out what the bubbling was caused by. Maybe some matter stuck on the edge of the ball was reacting to the Iron Out.Iron Out to remove toilet rust stainsI have major rust stains in my toilet. I put some Iron Out into the bowl which is half full of water. It began to bubble some around the ball seal. Nowhere else. Just where the ball and bowl meet. Is the Iron Out reacting with the rubber seal to create the bubbles? Is it damaging my seal? (I don't want to have to replace the seal. Yuk.)Re: Worn/broken spring shackles-word of warningThe wear pattern was similar where the holes for the bolts were stretched. But in one case both shackles were sheared right through. Another was cracked. Next time I replace I'll look for something like Houstonstroker's. I especially like that rubber cushiony thing.
