We are nearly 200 miles from the nearest facility that could service it. Is there any danger or chance of damage or brake lockups if we drive and use the motor home before we can get it diagnosed and repaired? The fact that it is flashing anytime the engine is running and parked tells me it must be a faulty sensor?ATC warning light constantly flashingWe recently purchased an 06 Country Coach Intrigue 530 with the C13 Cat engine. Although we had a complete inspection by a certified inspector, we are recently experiencing a new problem. Whenever the engine is running, whether parked or moving, the ATC warning light is flashing on and off. There is obviously a malfunctioning sensor somewhere, but where do I start to look? Has anyone experienced this or have any idea what I should check first? Is there a relay related to this function. Any help is greatly appreciated.small leak at water pumpWe are new to RVing and just purchased an 06 Country Coach. We have a small leak at our water pump that appears to be coming from where the 1/2" strainer goes into the Flojet 04406-143 Type IV multi-fixture water pump. I can't see how the strainer attaches to the pump. Does it just snap in or is there some kind of holding mechanism. Is this leak likely to be from an improper connection between the strainer and pump, or problems within the pump such as bad diaphragm? I am reluctant to purchase a new pump and strainer if there is just a loose connection... As an aside, in addition to the water leak at the strainer, when we open a faucet inside, there are sometimes spurts of air like there is still air in the lines. Any help would be greatly appreciated...Re: Car DollyI appreciate the dolly advice. Perhaps I am uninformed, what is a transmission pump? Can it be added to any auto with an automatic transmission? My vehicle is a Hyundai Elantra Limited and the service department at Hyundai says there is no way to tow it 4 down. Is there something I don't knowCar dolliesWe are in the process of purchasing our first motorhome, want to tow our Elantra which cannot be towed 4 down. Has anyone had experience with the EZE-TOW car dolly? Are there better choices or values out there. Anyone had problems with this dolly in particular or car dollies in generalRe: ISX 600 HP Cummins engine pros or consSound advice, we have given up on this coach. Thank you!Re: ISX 600 HP Cummins engine pros or consThank you all for your opinions about the 2006 Cummins ISX 600 engine. To help me put it in perspective, could someone tell me how common this issue with the #6 valve stem failing is? Is it rare or a regular occurrence in motorhomes? Ivylog seems to believe it is a real possibility. What are the odds? 1 in 10, 1 in 1000, 1 in 50,000? Should this really keep me from purchasing a MH that otherwise has everything we are looking for? Sure, I too would prefer the Detroit, but trying to find a Signature with both a Detroit and a king bed has so far not been achievable....ISX 600 HP Cummins engine pros or consWe are considering purchase of a 2006 Monaco that has the Cummins 600 HP ISX engine. Has anyone had experience with this engine, maintenance issues, recalls or any pros or cons. This engine currently has 1050 hours or 38K miles on it, appears to be very clean with no leaks or other observable problems.Re: Motorhome financingThanks again for all of your responses! We leave tomorrow on a trip to south Texas where we have rented an RV for 2 weeks to explore winter resort parks and determine if we can co-exist with a queen bed or truly need a king for the two of us and our Shih Tzu. Plan to look at a variety of MH's while we are there... we are excited to get on to this next chapter of life!Re: Motorhome financingThanks for the advice! We own a couple of rental houses and considered mortgaging them as the interest IS deductible on Sched E, however, the mortgage rates were substantially higher and negated any tax savings when deducting the interest. Our RIA has been returning an avg of 8% on investments so why take it out of our retirement fund if we can borrow it at 5%? We are very concerned about depreciation of the MH, it seems like values fall off the cliff when the MH is more than 15 years old.
