Wasn't able to free things up so ended up pulling the head. Blasted the valve with carb cleaner and it freed up on its own. Throw it back together and started on the first pull. Again thanks for the help. I didn't have a new gasket set but they all came off in one piece with no residue left behind so I tossed it back together. Glad the valve isn't bentRe: Generator No start, please helpThanks for the followup. Behold a stuck intake valve, never even crossed my mind. Will have to pull it appart and see if I can free it up and what else is wrong with it. Dropped the oil last night and it had almost and extra litre, can only assume its fuel. Aside from the valve issues might have a washed out cylinder wall as well.Generator No start, please helpLooking for some assistance, i'm at my wits end I have a champion 40025 3000/3500 generator. Unit was running like a top over the weekend. Ran dry on fuel 2 times, refuel, one pull and fired right up until now. Checked for spark, no spark. Changed plug and test plug against valve cover. lots of blue spark. Put back together, pull and break the starter cord. Wow, not my day. pull the recoil and put a new cord in, re-attached. Give it a 2 pulls, nothing. Pull the air filter, open choke. 3 more pulls and WoooWWf, big blue flame out the air box. Thought maybe something stuck in the carb. Pull the carb apart, bowl, float, carb clean everything with carb cleaner. Now i must have it. Put it all back together, 3 pulls and wooowf, bigger blue flame out the airbox. What am i missing or doing wrong,Re: Best acoustic material for gen setCheck the car audio dealers for a product called Dynamat. They have many different products that can be layered or used depending what you are looking for. I helped line. 5 er gen compartment with great resultsRe: marker lights on while campingWhoa ! And I thought the generator police were bad. I see no issue, actually kind of like it. I think it's neat how people choose to decorate their site. I've noticed LED palm trees becoming popularRe: Refurbished Champion GeneratorsI've read on other forums people having good luck with them. They mentioned it was bought from supergen and the supplier added a short warrantyRe: Water pump burps every 35 to 40 seconds for 2 to 3 secondsIf its not a leak it could be an air bubble. I know on my old Thor unit I had to go in sequence from back to front to remove them all. Outside shower always caused problemsRe: Chevy or FordFor what it's worth I have had both, I prefer the GM product over the Ford. Reliability of Ford engines is also just to dangerous now, first the 5.4 faults and now Eco Boost class action lawsuit growing roots by the day.Re: 3000W Chinese Gensets Info. professor95 wrote: Well shucks - I missed a birthday. It is hard to believe that this thread is still here after eight years. It was started on 3-2-2005. If you keep any eye open on their coupons you can get a good deal. Not only was it on sale but they gave me another 75 bucks off at the door How does it perform? Is it more or less noisey than expected I am considering one Sorry for the delay, been busy dealing with split lino from cold weather. I couldn't be happier with my Champion, for the money I don't think there is a better buy. I have used it in all sort of conditions, as well on the house during a winter power outage. As for noise I don't have a problem with it, I've used other generators in the past and its quieter then any other full RPM model I have every used. Is it as quiet as a Honda 2000 at low RPM no, but I can honestly say I think its quieter than a Honda 2000 when its running full tilt...ie running AC or large draw items.
