They are very encouraging.Ride quality when towingMy wife had a lot of spinal problems, with multiple surgeries in her past. We're thinking about getting a trailer to tow behind our Escalade, but are new to this (we're switching from an A) and wonder whether the ride quality of the Escalade (which works for her) may stiffen up once we hook up whatever tow package (??), load leveler (?) and trailer is required. Sorry to ask such a basic question, but has anyone had this experience with this Escalade chassis (which I think is the same as the Yukon/Suburban/Denali vehicles)? Thank you so much.Re: Is there a nice park near Lake San Marcos, CAThank you so much, Smitty!Re: Is there a nice park near Lake San Marcos, CAThank you both so very much. We will look into both suggestions. Is there a nice park near Lake San Marcos, CAWe may be going to this area soon, possibly with our Class A. Does anyone know if there's a nice, safe, full hookup park nearby? Thank you so muchRemco GM SUV with 6L80 TrannyWe bought a 2014 AWD GM SUV "with the 6L80 transmission" (I've been told that's important), which Remco says can be modified to allow flat towing. We previously had a (used) 06' modified by Remco, and it worked well, with no problems, for 6 years and about 40,000 miles, when we had to sell the older car to get a softer suspension for my spinal problems. But since this new car is so nice, and the work to be done will be so expensive, we wonder if any of you have had a newer Yukon, Denali, Tahoe, Escalade "with the 6L80 transmission" modified in this way, and if so, if it worked well for you. Thank you so very kindly. LouisaRe: Driving from Southern CA to Yellowstone in JulyYou're going to one of the most beautiful places on earth, and my favorite place of all time. We can't travel much ourselves anymore, but thinking back we stopped in Las Vegas (Ugh), Salt Lake City (Pony Express is fine for a day or two), and then, then, Godalmighty, to the grandest place I ever saw. Driving into West Yellowstone (which has Grizzly RV park, the best park we ever stayed at(IMHO; my wife disagrees a little-she likes Chula Vista in So Cal) is not as impressive as when, after parking your rig, unhooking the dingy and driving into the park (5 minutes away) you begin to see it. It gets better and better, until just past the 8 mile bridge, you come around a curve and see a valley like no other. Love, love, love those memories. Godspeed to you, friend.Re: Steam cleaning outside of an RVThank you all again. We appreciate it all, even the 'realistic' input.Re: Steam cleaning outside of an RVThank you all so very much. We're aware of the rationing issues, and have cut back on our water usage, including the cleaning of our vehicles, a lot. At the same time we're considering the guy the park uses because his system only uses 8 gallons of water to clean an entire 45' coach, and he's one of those small business guys who seems to do a good job and works his a-- off from morning to night. Nevertheless, I see mixed reviews on these kinds of systems, but since we have to spend so much now on medical and will never be able to afford to replace or repaint this wonderful (and now 11 year old) coach, I'm going to pass on him. My wife and I both appreciate all your opinions. Thank you so much for all your kind suggestions.Steam cleaning outside of an RVHere in California everyone is water rationing right now. The park we're at has an RV wash vendor, but he uses a steam device. I tried looking these up to see if they might hurt the paint job on our 10 year old, always babied Newmar, but get mixed messages. Anyone here know whether these steam machines hurt your paint job? Thank you
