Dec 5th--original owners 1. today operated Onan generator--2. volt meter was + 110--3. then operated rig TV--4. Thank each of you for your Xantex info--currently have our 2003 Tiffin Allegro 30" stored at our local Elks RV yard and have it covered (time and climbing involved). When our current Pacific Coastal weather settles down we'll bring the rig to our house to connect 110 volts and go through your suggestions. any additional ideas on the one? Problem, inverter will not convert from DC to 110 AC. Since earlier my November post when shop installed 4 new 6 volt deep cycle batteries wired in series to equal 2, 12 volt, there was a correction for a battery improper wired together. A call was made to Xantrex by mechanic and he was told that wiring error should not affect the inverter. NOW, invert command on Xantrex Freedom 458, 20 amp inverter/charger remote control panel fails to activate the four,six volt golf cart house batteries, to convert from 12 volt DC to 110 AC volt meter, in order to operate TV ect--110 volts outlet reset button is activated. There are four status lights on inverter: invert/wet, light is a steady green, charge/gel1 light is blinking green, and no lights showing on low batter/gel2, or overtemp overlaod/AGM. The remote light colored wire was disconected for several seconds and reconnected to attempt reboot of inverter.4.6KViews0likes11Commentsinverter

Mechanic this week replaced the 4 golf cart six volt house batteries--now no Invert AC service Also, the Xantrex remote panel volt illustration is jumping numberical figures at high speed, and then will stop in a 1 and not move--a portable volt meter shows new batteries are fully charged-- Xantrex Remote Panel will not show any full charged figures we usually see like 10.8 to 13.+ In the past following replacement of six volt deep cycly batteries Iwas instructed to disconnet "remote" wire briefly from the Xantrex inverter/charger, and that reboot corrected the run a way volt indicator--not this time! 11/13/2019 thank you for your helpful replies--correct--shop owner checked & the wires were incorrectly mounted--fixed that & now twelve volts--Xantrex still would not invert DC to AC--Shop owner called Xantrex & they went through evaluation--They said the six volt wiring error should not affect the inverting operation--sending in unit & panels for inspection952Views0likes2CommentsRe: 8.1 liter Chevy mechanic/ engine shop
Kevin, last Monday in Quartzsite Chevron the Workhouse W 22, 8.1 liter Chevy, suffered complete fuel pump failure—AAA approved tow to Blythe, Mead Auto and RV Repair—Owner, Mechanic Hamp, certified and really key was his knowledge and had a source with access to Workhorse parts—They we’re very helpful plus camped us on site Friday they began at 9 am prep—when part arrived Hamp and Mike spent the day dropping Tank (complicated by 1. full load .2 generator line manufacturers installed before RV dropped onto chassis—no way to reach it & had to cut tube, then replace with rerouted flexible tubing)—6:30 pm we drove out driveway heading for McDowell Mountain Park—grateful to Owners Hamp and Lois, Mike and two employees who all made the repair happen—asva side not we carry full Good Sam Road Service including towing & first contacted them— would only tow to closest shop which was in Quartzsite-470Views0likes0Comments8.1 liter Chevy mechanic/ engine shop
up date Tuesday Jan 9th--yesterday, following difficult engine start, and slow to drive into quartzsite to refuel 1/2 empty gas tank engine would not restart in gas station--on road could not accelerate normally--Towed to Blythe Mead Auto & RV Repair. This AM their test showed 13 lbs fuel pressure at engine, 55 to 65 normal--fuel pump ordered enroute to Las Vegas, then to Quartzsite---their esitmate is four hours to drop tank & install ect. The reattached the drive line that the tow operator took off to tow today. Please accept our thanks for the thoughtful responses for our RV problems. Andy Up date: fuel starvation difficulty 1. Engine will start on 2 nd or more try 2. Do not attempt to accelerate or engine quits—allow Idling and wait for rough idle to smooth out, then can slowly accelerate To 1500 & hold then 2000rpm for a minute—then able in to accelerate as Normal & hold operational rpm after Following a-two minthrough rough 3. Rig is 2003 Tiffin Allegro 30DA Workhorse with 8.1 liter Chevy—annual maintenance include changing both fuel filters 4. Recommendation for mechanic A. Courtesy Chevy Phoenix B. Wish to check on replacing 2003 Allegro gold colored graphic. Manufactures applicication of this colored RV side graphic has disintergrated. Wish to check out posibility of replacing just thet gold portion. Any experience with graphic shop in Quartzsite or Phoenix? Side note, 2 years ago was refered to graphic shop in Glendale AZ area who gave extimate of replacing entire graphic structure on RV at $3000+--Too much for our resources--so now wish to check on partial replacement of just the Gold color graphic Thank you970Views0likes3Commentsfuse location, 2003 Allegro 30DA
Where is fuse located. Our 2003 Allego 30 DA, RV--Cigarette lighter is used for gps power. The Behind dash retaining cup through which the wires pass and holds the lighter socket in place, came lose. It shorted out when attempting to refasten it to the front of dash lighter socket. Checked fuses through on top of dash access hole and all fuses were functioning there.
