Walmart parking lots? Any other suggestions?Considering ESP vs. Extended WarrantyWould appreciate any opinions... We have a 2013 Jayco Seneca 37FS with 3,600 miles on it. This will be our 2nd season and we are approaching our 1 year anniversary of taking delivery. I am considering extending the warranty just because of all the technology and components on this rig. I have the following quotes: From dealer: Preserve Extended Warranty: $4,750 for 5 years. $200 deductible except for at their dealer stores (where there would be no deductible) From GoodSam ESP: 6 year, $3,883 with $250 deductible. No tire coverage at this price. paying annually. Questions: 1. any big difference on ESP vs. traditional warranty? 2. Anyone have experience getting the tire coverage? On a new rig, should I have problems within the first 5 years or 50,000 miles? 3. Any other general comments or recommendations? 4. Any experience with deductible limits? I confirmed with the dealer that the deductible is on a per component basis, not per service all or trip. (unless I take it to them, and it is free) Thank fellow RVers. -scottRe: Macerator Pump - Perm or PortableI just ordered the Flojet portable. I will let everyone know how it works. Thanks for the info. -flexdog1Macerator Pump - Perm or PortableWe have a 2013 Jayco Seneca Super C and I would like to install one of these pumps. I have a dump inlet at home and it is slightly up hill, so I get to "slinky" the 3" hoses to empty the tanks all the way. My question is: should I go with the permanent installation type units or portable twist on? I don't have any other units, so there is no other need to be portable accept if those units are easier. Anyone have the portable FlowJet installed "permanently?" Also, if there are recommendations on the Thetford vs. FloJet, I would appreciate that. -flexdog1Re: Cummins Frieghtliner M2 Business Class Engine NoiseI FOUND IT! The large silver hose that runs up to the radiator area had a loose clamp back at the engine. As I am still learning this engine, I am not exactly sure what this hose is, but after tightening the clamp back and the engine, the sound went away. Re: Cummins Frieghtliner M2 Business Class Engine NoiseNevadanick, thank you for the reply, but I don't think it is the fan. I had a loaner over spring break and I heard it kick on a couple times and what I am hearing is not the same thing. Plus, this noise starts from the first time you start the engine, not once the engine gets hot enough to engage the auxiliary fan. I will check the hoses.Cummins Frieghtliner M2 Business Class Engine NoiseI have a brand new 2013 Jayco Seneca with 360 miles on it. Engine is a Cummins ISB6.7. When I drive it, or rev it up, it sounds like it is sucking a lot of air through a screen - it is a very loud air noise coming from the engine compartment up in front of the passenger seat. I am thinking this will go away once it breaks in, but I wonder what the noise is? It sounds like the turbo charger or something that is pulling alot of air through the big filter on that side. When at idle, you can't hear it. Any ideas? This is the first big diesel I have owned. Thanks, flexdog1Re: Roof or A/C leak 2013 Jayco Seneca....Texan21, Just took my brand new 37FS into the dealer today for a leak repair. Ours has 360 miles on it and has not even been on its first trip. I have a video I can send you a link to if you want to Private message me. Ours was leaking between the cab and the box too. It leaked behind the panels on the sides of the opening between the cab and the house. The are leather covered panels right behind the two captain's chairs. I had them off because I was doing some new wiring (installed a DVD player so the family could use it going down the road), and when I had the panels off, I could hear the water dripping in those cavities. One day it was raining and one day the water was coming from the A/C units. I will post what they do to repair. I am assuming this is all under warranty.
