I would like to track down the wiring problem but don't have a wiring diagram. Anyone know where I can get one?Black Streak RemovalI am looking for a cleaner wax that will do a good job of removing black streaks and provide a nice wax finish. I have a Holiday Rambler that has a painted aluminum smooth finish and vinyl decals. I worked on the front of the trailer this last weekend and used some goo-gone to remove some clear tape and also Thetford black streak remover. Used a nylon scouring pad to remove both the tape and the black streaks. Of course between the goo-gone and black streak remover the wax on the front is gone. I would like to try and find something that will do a good job of removing the black streaks on the rest of the trailer and also provide a nice finish without having to use a scouring pad to remove the black streaks. Any suggestions are appreciated.Fleetwood Limited Storage Doors HingesAnyone know of a good adhesive for repairing the storage door hinges on the Fleetwood Limited? Fiberglass doors that you can't rivet the hinges to the door they need to be attached with an adhesive. I have used JB Weld but it doesn't want to hold since the doors and hinges tend to naturally tension as they are closed against the rubber door seal. Don't know what Fleetwood used originally but it held for 20+ years. JohnRe: Onan NHE 6.5 points/condenserBrian, Yes that little box on top of the generator is where you will find the points and condenser. I was able to install new points and condenser once I removed the air cleaner assembly and the heat tube that runs across the top. Depending on how close to the top of the compartment your genset is will pretty much dictate if you can get at them. You might check to see if your genset is one that will swing down for maintenance purposes. Look underneath to see if the genset tray is hinged. If it is then you are in luck. If not then you are looking at dropping the genset or fighting through the installation and adjustment. JohnRe: Body side moldingYou might check with a body shop. Our 1988 Fleetwood Limited needed a new piece of side strip and they were able to find it. JohnRe: Electrical problem..Magnatec converter?Have you metered the batteries while connected to shore power to verify that the converter/charger is working? Is the converter on the "Receptacle" circuit that you say trips the main breaker. Sounds like you need to meter each 110v circuit at the main RV panel to see which one is the problem. Also, besides a short a missing or loose connection can cause a GFI to trip. If you don't already know, trip each breaker on your RV service panel and determine what each one powers. Since the "Receptacle" breaker throws the main RV breaker then by process of elimination you should be able to figure out what is on that circuit. Then check each item. Don't forget your refer and water heater if either or both have electric element heaters, they will cause a GFI to trip if they are bad. Unplug your refer and see if that makes a difference. Also the water heater if it has an electric heater element. JohnRe: 88 Limited Generator ServiceAlready ordered and received replacement Onan parts for the generator. Manifold, gaskets, etc., totaled about $400. Generator is back in and running fine and quiet.Re: 88 Limited Generator ServiceHad the generator removed and found that the exhaust manifold was broken in half due to a blown tag axle tire that hit the exhaust pipe right behind it. Genset had to be lowered using a floor jack and removing the support beams under the genset.
