Picking up our 36' tiffin allegro class A on Friday. We are looking for ideas on what grill to use? We will have pretty good storage space but don't need a monster grill. Most of our camping will be 2 or 3 people. Thoughts?Re: New RV will be ours on the 14th! Need some help on planningTotally understood! I didn't mention, I spend 1/2 of my life on the peninsula and Sacramento for work and am comfortable with the flow and rate of traffic. I also am somewhat used to LA traffic, so it is a calculated risk. Besides, we will be running Reno to Vegas in a month.Re: New RV will be ours on the 14th! Need some help on planningThanks everyone- and I mean everyone! We have some great options based on what we learned here. We are traveling back towards reno on a Sunday morning, so the traffic won't be as much of an issue. We will be staying in San Diego at Chula Vista RV resort and Marina on Saturday night- a chance to get to know the RV and have the seller walk us through any issues. We will stay in Boulder Creek in Lone Pine on Sunday night and then run up to Reno via 395 on Monday. We now have 3 more trips planned (Vegas to the oasis, Sedona and Grand Canyon - still looking for a place to stay, and Tahoe). This site is a great resource.Re: New RV will be ours on the 14th! Need some help on planningIt is a private sale, but the seller is very accommodating. That is a good idea.Re: New RV will be ours on the 14th! Need some help on planningGood feedback from all! It is a new coach to us, but I do have a fair amount of experience driving trucks (not semi's, just class B commercial) and have been making the run from Reno to Sacramento regularly (in a car) for the last several years. It should be a great experience!Re: New RV will be ours on the 14th! Need some help on planningWe were thinking of taking another day to enjoy the new rig! I will check out both Boulder Creek and the Oasis.Re: New RV will be ours on the 14th! Need some help on planningSorry! San Diego to RenoNew RV will be ours on the 14th! Need some help on planningHey all, Thanks for the help on my previous posts. We have agreed on a price for a 2012 Tiffin Allegro 36LA complete with a toad (miata). We jump on an airplane on Friday the 14th and will drive back to Reno starting on Saturday morning. It is a little intimidating to plan the first trip, what roads to take and how to find quality RV parks for a couple of nights to stay. We took Monday off from work, so we can take our time on the drive- it is around 600 miles total. Does anyone have some tips on how to plan the route for a couple of new RVers?Re: New to RV world, starting to shop.Interestingly, a 2013 tiffin allegro breeze just popped up via private seller. It is a 32 foot pusher and they seem to have a good reputation. Where is the best place to get a private party value? 5500 miles on the rig.
