It was the LOOSE connections that caused the problem, NOT the Iota. Doug If you use this transfer switch(IOTA)you need to periodically check the terminals. The problem is the terminal bar, it is made from aluminum and the wiring is copper, which is not a good mix. Add that the enclosure is made from plastic is another problem. Tick, Tick. Re: CCleaner causing issuesDid you have CC cleaner clean the registry? If so, that's most likely your issue. If you did a backup, you will have to restore the registry. I use CC all the time, but leave the registry alone.Re: Motorhome registration in Nv nevadanick wrote: Yes yearly, but it does go down a wee bit each year. Car was $800, pickup over $500, motorcycles over $200 ea. Its out of control here. And they wonder why people cheat the system. I told the clerk i would be a South Dakota resident next year :) That's a lot. Add that to your state income tax and that's a bunch of taxes. Wait, no Nevada state income tax. Such a deal. Everyone pays, we're just a moving target. Thanks GS RoadsideI've been a member for 8 years and have never had the misfortune of using roadside assistance, until yesterday. We broke a fan belt and required a tow of our DP. I called the number and after locating me the rep told me it would be about an hour for a tow to arrive. About an hour later they called back to see if the truck had arrived, it had not. The GS rep put me on hold to contact the towing company. She told me he was about 15 minutes out. Driver showed up and towed me to a Freightlined dealer. Just want to share that their service met my expectations. As a side note, I asked the driver what the cost of the tow would have been. He told me about $600. Thanks GS roadside.Re: Wrong Pump in AZ Rollnhome wrote: Arizona DOT definition of Recreational Vehicle taken from: Arizona Revised Statutes - Title 28 Transportation - Section 28-3102 "Recreational vehicle" means a motor vehicle or vehicle combination that is more than twenty-six thousand pounds gross vehicle weight rating and that is designed and exclusively used for private pleasure, including vehicles commonly called motor homes, pickup trucks with campers, travel trailers, boat trailers and horse trailers used exclusively to transport personal possessions or persons for noncommercial purposes. Here is the list of "use vehicles" A "use class motor vehicle" means a motor vehicle that uses use fuel on a highway in this state and that is a road tractor, truck tractor, truck or passenger carrying vehicle having a declared gross vehicle weight of more than 26,000 pounds or having more than two axles. A passenger carrying vehicle is defined by USDOT as: simplified... A bus or motorcoach ( tour bus) designed to carry 15 or more passengers. RVs are not on the list therefore no need to exempt. The listed exemptions are exemptions to vehicle types listed as "use class motor vehicle. Therefore RVs pay 18¢ fuel tax. Seems like this discussion is over if the definition of a "passenger carrying vehicle" is correct as stated above.Re: Wrong Pump in AZI took a look at 28-5432. it says it applies to: http://www.azleg.state.az.us/ars/28/05432.htm 28-5432- This article applies to all of the following: 1. A trailer or semitrailer with a gross weight of ten thousand pounds or less and that is used in the furtherance of a commercial enterprise. (That's not me, I'm not a trailer) 2. A motor vehicle or vehicle combination if the motor vehicle or vehicle combination is designed, used or maintained primarily for the transportation of passengers for compensation or for the transportation of property. (That's not me) 3. A hearse, an ambulance or any other vehicle that is used by a mortician in the conduct of the mortician's business. (Definitely not me) 4. A commercial motor vehicle as defined in section 28-5201. (um, could be me, let's look that up) http://www.azleg.state.az.us/ars/28/05201.htm 28-5201, says: 1. "Commercial motor vehicle" means a motor vehicle or combination of motor vehicles that is designed, used or maintained to transport passengers or property in the furtherance of a commercial enterprise on a highway in this state, that is not exempt from the gross weight fees as prescribed in section 28-5432, subsection B and that includes any of the following: (a) A single vehicle or combination of vehicles that has a gross vehicle weight rating of eighteen thousand one or more pounds and that is used for the purposes of intrastate commerce. (Nope, no interstate commerce in my motorhome) (b) A single vehicle or combination of vehicles that has a gross vehicle weight rating of ten thousand one or more pounds and that is used for the purposes of interstate commerce. (Nope, no interstate commerce in my motorhome) (c) A school bus. (No school here) (d) A bus. (Nope, I'm a private passenger vehicle, not a Greyhound) (e) A vehicle that transports passengers for hire and that has a design capacity for eight or more persons. (No, private, not for hire) (f) A vehicle that is used in the transportation of materials found to be hazardous for the purposes of the hazardous materials transportation authorization act of 1994 (49 United States Code sections 5101 through 5128) and that is required to be placarded under 49 Code of Federal Regulations section 172.504, as adopted by the department pursuant to this chapter. (No Hazardous stuff onboard here, well maybe if I have not dumped in a while) I apologize in advance, I'm obviously missing something here.Re: Wrong Pump in AZFor whatever it's worth, I travel to AZ from CA twice a year. On my way back to CA I stop at a truck stop near the border as fuel is cheaper. I use the lane that says RV's only. Fuel is taxed at the lower rate, no option for the higher price on the RV pumps.Re: 50 Amp Surge ProtectorNot familiar with this protector but I think it is seeing an error on L1 and L2 being in phase. To get the 100 amp service you have: L1 50 amp L2 50 amp Neutral 50 amp L1 and L2 together give you 100 amp service. Normally L1 and L2 are out of phase so neutral never sees more than 50 amp If L1 and L2 are in the same phase, then neutral could be forced to carry up to 100amps, but is only rated to carry 50 amp. Since neutral is not circuit breaker protected, a potential overload exists. No circuit breaker will trip, but you might smell rubber burning. The camp worker using a volt meter would not be able to detect any error. If that's what it is doing, then, that is a very good device indeed.Re: Chevy Trailblazer 2007Trailblazer about a 1,000 heavier. Although the Samsung RF197 uses DC for electronics, the compressor is run on 120v AC, not DC.
