Was somewhat aware of the need to upgrade my license then but it's not simple to upgrade before you own a rig that you need the upgrade for. Dealer in Fla never mentioned the issue of my drivers license.Maryland tagged RV with GVWR 26,001 or more poundsRecently went through the process of upgrading my drivers license so I would be legally licensed to drive my 35,320 pound GVWR Tiffin Phaeton. Being 68 years old I experienced anxiety, confusion, and worry until I received my new license. My new license is a non commercial "B" license which allows me to drive a vehicle of 26,001 pounds or more and tow a vehicle under 10,001 pounds. I believe this to be true, but the whole process was like feeling my way in the dark, but I got through it. If any Marylander's out there need any advice about upgrading their license I would be glad to advise.Re: Engine surge tankThanks so much to everyone who replied. Very helpful information from all. "Trackrig" photos look just like my old tank. I will replace my tank before my next trip. "MrWizard" do you recall where you purchased the metal tank for your 95 Cummins? That would maybe save me a lot of searching. Thanks to all.Engine surge tankPurchased a 3 year old Tiffin Phaeton 36QSR with a 2013 XCR-Series Freightliner Custom Chassis. ISC 8.3 Cummins engine. Have owned it for a year and have 27,000 miles on it. This unit has the radiator in the rear and a coolant surge/expansion tank sitting on top of the radiator. It is nearly impossible to view much of the engine side of the radiator or expansion tank. What concerns me is that the portion of the expansion tank (which is plastic or a plastic like material) which I can see has spider web lines running all over it. It is a semi transparent material. Also, it has a seam running horizontally across it which is brittle and crumbly. This tank doesn't look healthy to me. Anybody out there run across this problem?Automotion Shades (AMS)Driving 65 mph on a Florida toll road today my dual manual roller shade came detached from it's ceiling mounting bracket and fell from the side window at my left arm. Anybody know where I can get technical info on how to reinstall it. The tension springs unwound when the end caps popped out of the tube ends. Couldn't find anything on utube or the AMS web site. Worse comes to worse I will be near Lazydays in a few weeks.Re: Freightliner Rear Axle Hubcap RemovalThat big black wrench that FIRE UP shows in his photo is what I need. ThanksRe: Freightliner Rear Axle Hubcap Removalcbeierl, I think you have the info I need, ThanksFreightliner Rear Axle Hubcap RemovalI'm New to Freightliner Chassis. How do you remove the chrome plated rear axle cover? Re: Sewer outlet lock tabs First photo I have put on this forum. Hope you can view it. It shows my sewer outlet configuration. The black and gray tank feed together to a vertical discharge point where the tabs are broken. If you can see the photo, the discharge fitting, which is a Valterra fitting, has the sliding shutoff valves incorporated into it. In my case Dusty R's solution would not have been practical. However, the link Fubeca provided was a simple fix. My order from Etrailer came quickly and all I had to do was to remove the remaining tabs and glue the new adapter on. It fit perfectly and was simple. Job done. Thanks guys.Re: Picture Posting Test Thread
