Was recently driven Banff to Vancouver with no mechnical issues whatsoeverRe: Steps won't go outHi again folks. So it seems the motor on my step is fine. I tried connecting it directly to the battery and the steps went out fine. I also sanded the ground wire and it seems to be fine. I checked the wires attached to the motor with a circuit lamp and there doesnt seem to be any power getting to the motor. I have tried to remove the door switch from the scenario by touching the wires together but it didnt make the steps come out. I'm out of ideas now. Any other suggestions?Re: Potable water pump Golden_HVAC wrote: You should be able to find one around $75. You might find the best deal online, such as Amazon.com I would replace with the same model, so that the lines line up, and you don't end up needing to find and buy plastic water line fittings. For what it is worth, I installed a much more expensive 4.5 GPM variable speed pump, and used flex lines from Home Depot to reduce the vibration. I also had to install a new relay, as my electroic pump controller was only rated at 7.5 amps, and the new pump can use as many as 10 amps. Fred. Where is the controller relay normally located. Is it part if the pump or separate?Re: Potable water pump 1995brave wrote: Also check the pressure switch on the pump. Cool. How would I do that?Potable water pumpSo my pump has given up I think. I tested the wires right by the pump and it's definitely getting power to the unit. Thoughts? When replacing the pump do I need To get a certain type or can I just use one that fits the pump fittings? I'd like to spend as little As possible as I'm selling The rv soon.Re: Water pump issuesSo my pump has given up I think. X2 X3. lay under there, and have someone open and close the door while you spray PB blaster on all the joints. After a while it will start to work. Consider disassembling the works, clean the corrosion off all the pivot bolts, check, clean and or replace brass bushings, and reassemble. In theory the brass bushings are self lubricating, and all any lubricant will do is attract dirt. Reality is not quite so cut and dried. What's PB blaster?Re: Steps won't go out rvten wrote: Do you have this problem with engine running or just on the batt? Both
