The propane tank is located under the unit and it has a quick connect on the side to attach a BBQ grill etc. I have 2 questions. Do I need to purchase a regulator if I am going to connect to that quick connect or I am kind of assuming it’s already regulated as it’s already passed the low pressure side. Second question and more interesting to me actually. Is it possible to use that quick connect to feed supplemental propane to the unit? If I had a regulator from a BBQ tank to run from high pressure to low pressure and connected to that quick connect, would it flow the other way? My propane tank on board is only a 13.2 gallon and the generator is also LP which is very limiting to boondocking etc. Thanks for any help on this.Re: Can I use any 50 amp extension cord? handy2sum wrote: Is the 50amp receptical in the barn a 3-wire or a 4-wire with neutral? RV needs 4-wire. It’s a 4 wire as we put it in when we got the RV.. In hindsight we should have put it a bit closer to the door.Re: Can I use any 50 amp extension cord? valhalla360 wrote: Make sure it's actually an RV receptacle. If not, it could damage your coach. Also, how long will the cord be and what are you running? If you are just running the fridge, TV and a fan, likely not a problem. If you are trying to run 2 air/con units, hot water heater on electric and the microwave, voltage drop can be an issue if you are connecting up multiple extension cords to reach the outlet. That was a question I had. But I do notice that the welder’s cords seem to have a 3 prong connection where my RV one is 4. Maybe that’s to keep morons like me from doing such things. Can I use any 50 amp extension cord?Hi all. I have a 40ft diesel with 50 amp power. I need to use it for a guest house for a weekend and want to plug into my 50 amp in the barn but the cord isn’t long enough. I see that RV extension cords are more pricey than other ones. Presuming it is the same receptacle, are they all the same? Thanks.Re: Anyone have recommendations for awning replacementOh wow. that sounds quick. Thank you so much. Will do some searching. TrishAnyone have recommendations for awning replacementHi all. I am trying to fix up the motorhome to trade or sell and downsize. Several years ago, we got into an argument with a high tree branch and wrecked the awning including the cover. I want to replace this (finally) and in my user manuals, it shows A&E systems 21 foot I believe awning. Not sure what I need to order or what is now compatible. I know it still has all the wiring (a dealer removed it years ago and left the wiring and arms). That dealer is now out of business. So, starting from scratch here, any direction is so appreciated. It had the wind sensor I know and was automatic. That’s about it. From reading the installation manuals, YouTube etc. it doesn’t seem to be a particularly difficult job to replace. But having compatible parts would be helpful. Thanks so much. TrishRe: Tank level indicator isn’t lighting upThank you both. Turns out it was simple. Bad Fuse. Fuse looked fine too. Bought a set of new ones and am now good to go. For once, it was a simple thing.Tank level indicator isn’t lighting upHi all. I have a 2005 Mandalay Motorhome and the control that shows the tank and water levels won’t light up when I push the switch. On that same panel is the water pump and that switch works and lights up. Any ideas what it could be? Bad switch? The fuses in the back all seem ok. Thanks. TrishRe: HWH pump keeps runningSounds good and about my technical level. LOL Thank you. TrishHWH pump keeps runningHi all I had posted last week thinking my level control switch might need replacing due to the pump running when I start the motorhome and then stopping when I selected the off button (but then running again when I would release the off button). I went to open up the slide outs and same thing. The pump will open the slides no problem but then continue to run continuously for a couple of minutes. In a non-technical way (if possible) can you help me troubleshoot this? Thanks so much. Trish
