I aired all of my tires to 80psi a few weeks ago when the outside temp was warmer and yesterday when I sync'ed everything to the monitor they were all reading in the 70's. Outside air temp was down about 15 degrees from when I had aired them to 80. Read the paper work that comes with the product the info you need is right there! The manual must have changed because my manual did not have setting recommendations in it.Re: High and Low settings for TST Tire Monitoring system Bobbo wrote: I have the same system. My front tires are recommended at 65 psi, and my rear tires are recommended at 80 psi. I use 58 psi as the lower limit for my front tires, 10% below 65 psi. I use 72 psi as the lower limit for my rear tires, 10% below the 80 psi. Since all of the tires have the same sidewall rating, I use 100 psi for all of the tires as the upper limit. That is 20% above the 80 psi of the rear tires, rounded off. I left the temp setting at the default 158 degrees F. Coming home from our last camping trip, the TST actually alarmed high temp on the right front tire. It was showing 160 degrees. The right front brake was dragging and heating the wheel. When I stopped, it was smoking. Ford had to replace the right front brake caliper. I wish it had been under warranty, it was about $412. Thanks for the great, detailed info. Do you recall what the temp was on the other tires as you were going down the road? Just curious.High and Low settings for TST Tire Monitoring systemI just installed a TST-507 system on my TV and 5th wheel. Put sensors on all tires...including both spares. This is a low priority item for me but wanted to see what others might have done to solve the problem. What people have said about getting fridge cold before leaving is sufficient for us as well because so far we have only kept beverages in the fridge. What I would prefer if I did anything would be to replace the fridge with a freezer to keep more food and use an ice chest for beverages. I have seen people do the chest freezer in the basement but we don't have the room for that. May look at putting a chest freezer in the bed of the truck under my Bak-Flip cover.Small upright freezer on inverterWould love to replace the small frig in my outdoor kitchen with a freezer that runs off the inverter when going down the road. Anyone have any experience with something similar?Re: ready for a better hitch...B&W or Anderson Ultimate Cummins12V98 wrote: fj12ryder wrote: Phydeauxman wrote: Considering that the Andersen aluminum only weighs 32lbs...I am scratching my head as to why anyone would choose to use something else. That's okay, I'm still scratching my head over why someone would choose a hitch based on how easy it is to pick up rather than how well it tows. :) I would trust the Andersen for a light RV but nothing else. Amazing how all people want is "EASY" If the Andersen is truly rated at 20K+ then this must in reality be rated at 60K. Check out this video...while they were WAY overweight for the truck...the hitch handled it fine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qMW-ynhTatARe: ready for a better hitch...B&W or Anderson Ultimate fj12ryder wrote: Phydeauxman wrote: Considering that the Andersen aluminum only weighs 32lbs...I am scratching my head as to why anyone would choose to use something else. I have been researching this for a while and everyone says it pulls great with no clunking like I get with my PullRite auto slider. And easier to hook up as well.Re: ready for a better hitch...B&W or Anderson UltimateConsidering that the Andersen aluminum only weighs 32lbs...I am scratching my head as to why anyone would choose to use something else.Re: new truck hitchI have a short bed F250 with the PullRite auto-slider and I am getting rid of it. Way too heavy and clunky. Going with the Draw-Tite gooseneck adapter (for a clean bed) and the Andersen Aluminum Ultimate 5th wheel hitch. It weighs only 32lbs. Check out the YouTube video on it.
