Onan 8000 Generator
2007 HR with an Onan Silent Diesel 8000. I have 2 remote start/stop switches in the coach. Neither one will start or stop the generator but both will indicate generator running. If I want to use the generator I have to start and stop it with generator mounted switch. Any ideas what the problem could be? I got a CODE24 from my Onan 8000 generator aboard my 2007 HR when it shuts down after running for about 5 minutes. Code says that the ggenerator is not sensing temperature after 5 minutes of operation. Does anyone know the require proceedure to correct this problem. 2007 HR Ambassador. Both generator remote start switches in the coach will not start or stop the generator. The switch on the generator works fine. I'm thinking that it may be a faulty relay. We have lost the seal in two side windows in our 2007 HR. We have to replace the glass because the etching is excessive and cannot be cleaned. The question is, do we use tempered glass as was originally installed or just standard glass? OEM or after market widows for this coach do not exist. I have a loud hum through the surround sound speakers. The HR service center said it was being caused by the inverter. The inverter output is as per spec and they say it is operating satisfactorily. I have a recently puchased 2007 HR Ambassador 40STK (23870 mi.) that has an XtraRide service contract that is about to expire mid November. Can I get zome opinions from seasoned HR owners as to whether or not I should purchase another 4 year bumper to bumper contract. Most evrything is working fine at this time.
